Can anyone recommend any books on the origins of different religions and how its been altered over the years.
Particularly interested in the origins of the papacy and also their relationship and subsequent torture and murder of the Knights Templar.
Also would like some on the origins of Secret Masonary pre 1717.
Its know its difficult but i would prefer these to be as unbiased as possible (if there is such a thing)
Just read John J Robinsons Lost Secrets of Masonary for the 3rd time. Very informative in what i am assuming is a very unbiased view.
Now is time
Cheers
Edit : I realise that most folk will point to the Sun/Moon etc as the origin but i was really meaning about how it diversified into the multitude of factions that are around today or have been destroyed in the past.
Would also like something around the time of the start of Protestants and the reasoning and thought behind it considering the punishment for such a crime.
