I've got a samsung galaxy note. Its the best phone I've ever had but its quite large. I suppose it depends on what your using your phone for.

Nokia 3310.
I'm sick fed up of people with fancy phones. I can't have a civil conversation with people cause they always have their head in an "app".

An alternative suggestion: the google nexus 4 is a cracking phone, comparable to an S3. You can get it from google unlocked for £239 then pick up a giffgaff sim (O2 network) which will give you 250mins/unlimited txt/1Gb for £10 a month. Total cost over 2 years = £479 and you are not tied in at all.
Comparable contract would be around £26/month = £624 over 2 years.
You also get the latest android releases straight away rather than waiting months for Samsung to get their finger out if they bother at all (said an s2 owner still waiting for jelly bean).

Been thinking about upgrading to the note 2 myself
Got a desire hd at the moment but the phones tmobile offered me for upgrade where a joke
Nowhere near as good as what I've got
Only issue I have with the note is the cheapest deals on offer are all at least a fiver more than I'm paying and I don't get as much for my money .
If I was just to keep the phone I've got am I entitled to ask for a cheaper deal?Last edited by BroxburnHibee; 06-03-2013 at 03:58 PM.

If your contract has run its term, you should ask for a quote for a new deal without a phone.
Say that your circumstances have recently changed and that money's tight now so you can't stretch to an upgrade. Therefore, you're looking for the best deal out there and you'll be comparing providers.
They'll offer you a good deal, but you definitely should compare providers before accepting.
Ignore any "I can offer you this if you accept it now" crap.
The same deal will be available later.
Give me a call if you want to discuss.

Or go payg! I as mentioned above, on giffgaff, for £10, and you get:
250 mins
Unlimited texts
1 gb data
This will last for 30 days.
Give me a shout if you want a Sim! I :D

I'm in the market for a new phone as well. I always buy my phone sim free and have used Giff Gaff for the last few years with no probs.
Just now I'm torn between the latest sony Xperia, the new HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 which gets it's first unveiling next Thursday.
Currently on an HTC Desire HD, so leaning to the HTC One but the reviews on the 4Meg ultra pixel are mixed to say the least!
It was never this confusing when it was a choice between a Nokia 3310 and a Nokia 3310(as was the market back then!).

Other than internal memory I'm happy with the ace.
Edit: Also, which HTC was it? The HTC Desire X and Samsung Galaxy SIII mini are the two I'm looking at.
Some pretty good deals on both here:

Other than voice recognition for texting when driving I'd just get the iPhone 4 or 4s . Not much difference.
