Enjoy, never disappointed when I've seen them.
And they didn’t, a superb night out.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Arab Strap tonight at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Really looking forward to this one.
They were on the afternoon show with nicola meighan on radio Scotland today. Really like malcolm Middleton.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

    That's probably a lot of years! 😉

Great venue, saw a few folk there the last few years.

    It is.

Don't understand why it isn't used more often.

Ezra was just fabulous last night.

Wonderful music, but an amazing stage personality that just screams rebellion. It was no coincidence that she evoked the spirit of Patti Smith with her final number.

I'll be seeing her again in November in Glasgow, hopefully.

Ps the Aftab lassie wasn't half bad either 🙂

Got a ticket to see Space next Saturday night at The Mac Arts Centre in Gala next Saturday and thinking of getting one for Jah Wobble at the same venue

Same here, still plenty £350 tickets available though 🤬

Bands that use this new pricing model with Ticketmaster are a disgrace

Oh, I'm beyond jealous! The lineup is insane.

EC are great fun live. Had the entire crowd at Slam Dunk back in June bouncing from start til end.
I'll report back on how it was the bands that I need to see will be MCR, Glassjaw, Saosin and Story of the Year most of the other bands that I like I've already seen at one point or another.

I 100% agree regarding EC at Slamdunk, they were my band of the day despite my friend only introducing me to them the night before while we were out and about in Leeds.

I was at this. Been a fan for ages and it certainly lived up to my expectations!

Easterly wind tonight so I’m hoping to be able to sit in the garden and hear The Chemical Brothers from Connect festival.

I've seen MCR shortly after they release Three Cheers - I kinda went off them a bit after that album but they put on a great show - seen SOTY 3 times now, and they never fail to deliver a great live show (though it's been about 10 years since I last seen them and their more recent stuff hasn't quite resonated with me.

Did you go to the launch event per chance at Leeds Beckett where Mayday Parade were headlining? If not, I'd recommend seeing them - they're superb live.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

MCR's new song is pretty good I'd suggest giving it a listen just to see what you think of it, a few of my mates seen SOTY as well years ago and said the same as you so here's hoping they can still deliver. I ended up at the club night at Beckett student union but my memory of that night is patchy at best I actually forgot they were playing and I'll be going to see them to hear Jamie All Over, any other songs they play that I like I'll consider a bonus.

Kevin Morby in Brighton on Wednesday night – one of the best gigs I've been to in ages.

Death Cab for Cutie are playing the Usher Hall next March - definitely going to try and get tickets for this - they're also playing the Barrowlands but I'd rather see them at the UH.

It's no exaggeration to say that Ben Gibbard's daily live videos from his home studio during the start of Covid-19 and the lockdown period genuinely saved my life. They gave me something to look forward to at the end of each day, rather than focussing on the same non-existence that would follow the same day (in my head anyway).

I've been a fan since You Can Play These Songs with Chords but I've never seen them live before.

Butler, Grant and Blake played one of his songs last night at the QH.

Me and Magdalena? (one that he wrote for, or was covered on, the last Monkees album).

He wrote it for them - for the Good Times album. His skill as a songwriter and storyteller are quite exceptional.

If anyone's interested, I'd genuinely recommend his 'Live From Home' videos on Youtube - his ability to put on a show with just a guitar or piano and his voice blew me away. Spent many a night during lockdown in tears watching him perform live. Would love the chance to properly thank him!

Back from Lindisfarne festival yesterday. Amazing weekend with great people, food and music. Would recommend but you definitely need to go with an open mind

Thanks for the heads up. Used to be one of my favourite bands but I didn't like their last 3 albums at all so not sure about going.

Saw them at usher hall on the coming up tour fairly recently. Not seen them for donkeys years, really enjoyed it.

Not sure if already mentioned but Biffy and Arictects at the hydro.

Mental that architects are supporting given as big as they are at the moment but I'm certainly not complaining!
