I generally hate stadium concerts but willing to make an exception for his Bruuuuuuuuuuuceness. I've never been to a Murrayfield concert. Do they normally set the stage up at an end or a side? Mulling over pitch v stand tickets. I'd probably go pitch but Mrs JMS favours stand.

The Stones gig a few years ago was at the north end imagine it will be the same so maximum use of the pitch.

Thanks, looking at this chart for his Amsterdam shows, looks like it it'll be that way.

Got tickets for Jamie T acoustic set at Liquid Rooms in August, then at O2 academy in Glasgow in November.

The View in O2 in Glasgow in December too.

I think I’ve been to three gigs at Murrayfield and all had the stage at the north end.

I can't bear comfy seats at a gig.

I'm also not a fan of stadium gigs either....

However, Bruce is coming to Embra; that's where he shades it over Bobby.

Jamie T at the liquid rooms. Seen Alt J there recently, another gig put on by Assai records. Unreal

I stood for 3 hours at a gig recently. Everything was fine until I tried to walk away afterwards.

Comfy seats are just fine, thank you.

Yep me too, I was at the SWG3 recently for the Tremonti gig, got there at 5.30pm to queue and left at around 10.30pm so about 5 hours standing. For an old guy who's had both hips done and carrying a few lbs too many, my legs were knackered afterwards, it's great being at the front for these gigs but when it's 2 support bands and the main band, a comfy seat is appreciated, which it will be in Dec when we go to see Alter Bridge.

I bought tickets for his Dublin show next year, then the ****er announces an Edinburgh show today
I might go twice. I've seen him 5 times over the years, an absolute force of nature. His voice isnt what it was, but he's still special.

I was lucky to see him at his first ever UK show, in 1975. He was amazing then and remains so now. As you say, a force of nature. I'll be buying tickets for Murrayfield later this week, I hope.

Was at Kubix at the weekend. Saw (amongst others) SLF, The Rifles, Skids, Undertones, Spear of Destiny, Theatre of Hate, Ferocious Dog, Shed 7, Bar Stool Preachers, Jim Bob, Death of Guitar Pop and Crashed Out. All for £57 !

    Burnt my shins though.

Peter Hook and the Light at the Barrowlands next Thursday, performing the two Joy Division albums. Was initially meant to be on 18 May 2020 which was the 40th anniversary of Ian Curtis' death. I guess that could have been touching and/or macabre. However, the cancellations meant that I can take my 15 year old stepson to the gig, which is a first for me. Should make for a different experience to my usual Barrowlands nonsense.

Doune the Rabbit Hole was as ever a bit of a shambles but still a very good festival.

Highlights were Yard Act, Belle & Sebastian, Boney M, Teenage Fanclub, Patti Smith, Camera Obscura, Richard Dawson & Circle, Hen Ogledd and Billy Nomates.

Might have been singing the Davey Gray lyrics to Daddy Cool a lot of the weekend 😁

I didn’t realise they were back together. Thought that was it for them when one of the band died and Tracyanne did her solo album (Tracyanne & Danny, which I liked). I see they’re working on a new album. Will keep an eye out for that.

Likewise! It's expensive business these days. Probably wouldn't have paid that much for anyone else. Worth it when it comes around and the money's forgotten about. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

The world is crying out for a Richard Dawson/Boney M collaboration

I've gone for hard-core standing. May in Scotland, what can go wrong?

Freaking expensive, but I'm taking the view that this might be the last time we see him.

(Disclaimer. People said the same about the Stones 40 years ago)

That they are, 90 minutes straight through, hardly any stoppages. Was brilliant.

How much are tickets out of interest. I had a look on Ticketmaster but they were £380-£450 each which can't be right, surely...

    Think that's the hotel packages.

Mine were £100 for rear standing. O2 Priority had their presale today. Live Nation have theirs tomorrow. General sale on Thursday.
