GZA tickets for St Luke’s secured this morning - different kind of gig to what I usually attend and Hip Hop shows are notoriously hit or a miss. GZA himself is a bit unpredictable as well apparently so will just need to see how it pans out. Might be that pre gig nervousness which was the standard for Fall gigs and not quite knowing what you were going to get!

2004, it’s the only time I went. A friend of mine was living in Barcelona at the time so I went for the weekend with him. The festival was superb, Massive Attack were a particular highlight for me.
Awesome. Can imagine Massive Attack being very special indeed. Such a great festival, in an awesome city.

After over 40 years of going to gigs I reckon I saw one of the very best last night! Pete Murphy and David J (Bauhaus) doing all of 1st album as well as an explosive set. They play Glasgow on Wednesday!

James playing the Usher Hall on 18th March. Supporting themselves with a low key acoustic set before coming out all guns blazing after the break.

James tickets sorted. If anyone has a presale code that isn’t working, they’ve all been sent out with a letter missing off the end. I went through the alphabet until I got the right one.

The Professionals are supporting the Ruts in February at the Liquid Rooms. First time I’ll ever have attended a gig on the basis of wanting to see the support act more than the main act 😂

I’ve done that once that I can remember - I went to see Kaiser Chiefs because Graham Coxon was supporting. My wife and her sister wanted to see Kaiser Chiefs so I got brownie points for taking them as well

I went to see Whiteout years ago at La Belle Angel on the NME tour. When the tour started they were supported by five guys from Manchester. After the first night Whiteout ended up in the support slot.

No idea what ever happened to the band that ended up headlining that night 😂

The Ruts are playing The Crack album in full which should be fantastic. Guessing that they will change the order. The Professionals will kick it up as normal. Superb live band. I will be going to the Aberdeen gig.

Tickets sorted for Otoboke Beaver in Glasgow next year, at CCA I think. Missed their show earlier this year due to a clash with Idles, do pleased they are travelling back to these shores again.
Wedding Present in Galashiels tomorrow night is one I’m looking forward to - playing the Tommy album 👌 Think that will be the last gig of 2018 for me.

Nile Rodgers and Chic last night at the Hydro. Brilliant show. What a back catalogue of his own music and collaborations.

Managed to get Fontaines DC for King Tuts sorted before they sold out - another band I’ve been keen to see. Told a friend in Ireland that I’d sorted tickets and said it will be my first time seeing them - he told me he’s seen them 19 times!

I used to love less than jake, but i just got bored with all the sameness of the american ska punk type stuff. I still think Hello Rockview is a great album.

Last time i saw them was down in Newcastle alongside NOFX and Snuff a good few years back. Place was bouncing but wasnt overly impressed by LTJ.

I see what your saying, for me there's a few really good bands amongst the samey type bands. I feel LTJ deserved to rise above some of the other bands out there.

Have a look at Zebrahead if you want they are a bit different and I was really impressed with them live.

The Zutons in March barrowlands, one of tour I think
