Rather than post about gigs I've seen, I shall attempt to be true to the title of this thread.

Next up is a trip to the excellent Backstage at the Green Hotel in Kinross to see the legendary Carl Palmer.
The opportunity to see this amazing drummer close up in a small venue should not be missed.
That sounds like a great event Was just saying to a mate recently you don't hear of him much

Devastated, Shed Seven have just cancelled their Gigs in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Dublin this week. I was due to see them at the Liquid Rooms, hopefully they get rescheduled.

Tickets bought for Idles at Gladgow G2, April 17. One of the best, and raucous live gigs seen last year, so looking forward to seeing them again.
Also got tickets for Duds at Nice'n'Sleazys on Sat 20th Jan. Same day as cup Derby is scheduled, so could be a long day..

Saw Definitely Oasis at the Liquid Rooms on Saturday, absolutely brilliant. If you love all the early Oasis stuff then you will love them. I think they play Falkirk in March and back in Edinburgh next November.

TRNSMT announced their first acts for next summer at Glasgow Green on the Saturday.

Liam Gallagher headlining with Wolf Alice and Courteeners the chief support acts, should be decent.

Hopefully the rest of the lineup is decent, because that's abysmal (to my tastes anyway!)

Wolf Alice supported Biffy Clyro in Glasgow 2 summers ago and they were one of the most boring bands I've ever seen live.

King Creosote @ Sneaky Petes on Sat Feb 3rd.
Went on sale this afternoon and half of them gone already. Place only holds 100, but still, glad to have caught the announcement earlier.

I was there too with the mrs and mates. I was standing upstairs as the Mrs could sit there at a table as she's 5 months pregnant. They were brilliant and I'll be back again next year. I missed them last year, I had tickets but couldn't go due to illness. Thouroughly enjoyed my night. All of a sudden I was in my teens again when they were blasting out those songs.

Should have been Biffy Clyro supporting Wolf Alice, quality band.

To each, their own - absolutely zero stage presence and zero crowd response.

I don't see the appeal, but then I feel that way about most 'Indie' bands.

Maybe my 6th or 7th time seeing them in last 20years and as good as ever. So many great songs they could have played all night.

    You?

Thought they were brilliant. First time seeing the new setlist after 7 gigs in the first leg where I felt the setlist was too plodding. Much more upbeat, especially the first hour or so. Dave was on fire. Great crowd too, which you can’t always say in the England, especially midweek. Next stop on the tour for me is Riga and Vilnius in February. Can’t wait!

Duds were excellent at Sneaky Pete's earlier in the year. Played a pretty short set however so hopefully they will give it a bit more in Glasgow.

I missed the Sneaky Petes show, so looking forward to seeing them for first time in Glasgow.

Anyone been to the Isle of Wight Festival? Just heard Depeche Mode will be headlining the Saturday with other rumoured bands sounding decent so looking into it.

For anyone with Shed Seven tickets for liquid room, they've only gone and rescheduled for 31st Jan.

We play Motherwell at Easter Road that night.

    Dicks.
