Straight to the Complete Stone Roses after Celtic on Saturday is looking extremely tempting.

Supremely jealous that I wasn't there.

Christmas Songwriter's Club at the Queen's Hall tonight. Featuring a lot of the Scottish music scene illuminaries, it should be good.

Given your musical tastes and geographical location Steve, have you heard of/are you a fan of The Amity Affliction per chance?

Have heard the name but not really listened to them.

Listening to that Chasing Ghosts song now, and while I think it's decent in terms of the music etc, I just cannot do that style of singing - i.e. the full on throaty yelling!

They were outstanding, one of my highlights gig going in 2013. The proper live drummer was the driving force to the whole act, and what no drum machine could recreate for their live sound.

First gig of 2014 for me will be Mogwai at The Royal a concert Hall on Tuesday night. part of Celtic Connections and should be a fine way to start this years outings. Really want to see Bill Callahan next Saturday as well, but can't get anyone to go with! Might just have to join the rest of my mates for Wave Pictures in wee red bar the night before instead.
