Who's Foster? That side would get spanked worse than the current setup btw

Interestingly no one has chosen young Graham Dorrans, by far and away the most consistent Scot in the EPL along with Fletch, and one of the most naturally gifted players I've seen in years.

The talent is there and I'm still incredulous at Craig Gordon's assessment of Levein, which I can only put down to misplaced loyalty when the man gave Gordon his debut for Hearts etc - if Levein (and Regan) last beyond the end of the month I'll be astounded.

Agreed. James McArthur should be in there, too.

Dalglish as boss probably, if he could forget about Adam.

Danny Fox should be in the same taxi with Potter tonight! Total stick.

I think there's talent there to be picked from.

Fletcher obviously, he has a scoring record in the Premiership anyone would be proud of. Rhodes also is clearly a talented forward, and there's a couple other guys waiting in the wings; Russell, maybe even Griffiths if he continues improving.

Midfield, Dorrans already mentioned, McArthur is also doing the business down south, Darren Fletcher when fit is an obvious choice, then there's still Snodgrass and Fyvie playing in England, plus Brown and others up here.

Defence again plenty options, with and without EPL experience.

McGreggor is a solid keeper, as is Gordon if he ever gets fit.

So yeah, all in I fail to see that with a good manger in place, any reason why we shouldn't be winning games and fighting to qualify! That's mostly a young team too...

Gordon (or McGregor if CG unavailable)

    Bardsley Caldwell Berra Wallace?

    McArthur Fletcher Dorrans

    Snodgrass Fletcher Morrison

Bit unsure about the defence but still a decent team with good backup options in brown, rhodes, maloney, mackie, russell etc.

Dorrans is on the bench most weeks for West Brom, while Morrison always looks good for the Baggies on MoTD highlights.
Morrison should be playing high up the pitch, supporting a striker but for Scotland always needs / or is told to be getting in behind the ball.
The weakest area by far is the defence. Caldwell is not everyone's cup of tea but is now just about the only half decent guy we have at the back.
Hutton has completely lost it. Mulgrew can stroll through SPL games but I'm not sure he has what it takes to step up and Bardsley, Whittaker, Berra, Webster, Hanley, Martin, Fox etc are far from world beaters.
Pity Danny Wilson has not developed at Liverpool.
Forrest & MacKay-Steven could be the future out wide but not if we're digging in looking for 0-0s under Mr Potter.
Options going forward are decent but we need a solid defence in order to get up the park with confidence.
