Heard a sneak of the new Asking Alexandria album yesterday. Oh boy, it's superb!

Yeah, full album now acquired and listened to - Asking Alexandria's 'The Black' is a superb piece of work!

New Deftones album, Gore, dropped this morning. A band that's not been able to do wrong for me since I was about 14 and they just keep doing it!

Thanks for posting this, it probably would have passed me by otherwise. Gave it a couple of listens today and I like it.

A couple of folk already mentioned it but the new James album is superb. A bit more electronic than usual, which is right up my street. That's 2 excellent albums from them in the last couple of years. Looking forward to seeing them in Glasgow a couple of days before the cup final.

As well as all the football I'm missing this month, I'm gutted to be missing this.

Reckon this is up there with the best of the back catalogue by them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8OobMrlvrY

Just had a look at the track listing and line-up. There are some interesting selections/combinations. All good and for a good cause as well.

Roses song is awful. So bad.

A moon shaped pool on the other hand is quite exceptional. One of the best albums I've heard in years

The tune in itself is cracking, the lyrics to go with it ruin it. Roses and Ian Brown both have always been so clever with song lyrics. These are shocking,

They've done a Sex Pistols and become their own tribute act.

I heard the Stone Roses single a couple of times last night. Liked the guitar but the lyrics are terrible. Listened to it again and felt the same. Very much a John Squire tune. Then I put on the first album and it's like a different band. The new single is nowhere near the magic of the old stuff.

I don't mind the roses track. I didn't expect anything better tbh.
