Like the look of this guy. Very positive player and drives at defenders.
Oh and his goal today

Very good close control, willing to run inside and doesn't mind taking the ball in tight areas. Good start from the him.

Have to agree with bot above posts, he looks like being a really good player for us.

It's still early days but I think Cairney is a great wee player and the type we've been missing for ages - a midfielder not scared to run at defenses.

He's neat and tidy, skilful and puts a good shift in. He scored goals in the 1st division, and if he can carry that into the SPL as he did today he will be a terrific player for us?

Cairney
Good player - just shows there is talent in the lower divisions. As PF has stated our scouting in these leagues has been non existent until now! Other teams in the SPL have brought in some guys with good potential and benefited.

I think he's a good footballer. I think he could stand to lose a few pounds though.

I really like Cairney. Thought so from his first game. We have missed someone with his directness.

He's been doing a power of work in the gym in order to build himself up so appearances can be deceiving.
In any case he's proving to be a very astute signing and is doing ok right now.

Just goes to show that Pat is right about us neglecting the lower leagues for players. Good to hear that he is setting up a scouting system for this purpose.

Might sound a bit strange considering the goal he scored today but I think he needs to take more shots.
There was a chance in the first half he dithered on it and the chance was gone very well played in the second half though

Seen him last week when he stopped to have his photo taken with my son after the St Johnstone game and he is not overweight so that is a bit of a myth imho! Cracking player who has had a good start to his Hibs career.

IMHO lets not get get carried way, took his goal very well but in all the games I've saw him this season he has been very conservative and not took players on enough. Hopefully he has gained confidence after a hard shift in midfield and a good goal. Hopefully more to come from him. Let's not put too much pressure on him
