No that's a keeper league. A dynasty league is where you keep your whole team - allowing for any new players you draft the following year.

If we do a dynasty league, which there seems to be an appetite for, then we would have to do a new draft and not keep the teams we have at the moment.
I thought the two were the same type. A dynasty league is something that would be interesting over a long period of time. I like the idea of a keeper league - seems like the best of both worlds.

I don't think anyone is suggesting kicking people out the league to make it smaller. I think there are suggestions that we run more than one league - that's certainly doable with multiple people acting as commissioner. I could run a 12-man league on ESPN for example.

I already know that I am not interested in a 16-man league so that frees up one space.

This is going to be a veritable shoot-out tonight!

Jay Cutler and Jimmy Graham vs Martellus Bennett and Kenny Stills - < 3 point lead, so I'm hoping for a Bears romp or for Jimmy Graham to finally come alive!

By contrast, Kyle will be hoping for 'Brees to Stills, TOUCHDOWN!' all night long
Graham is injured pal, has been for weeks now, we are trying to use him as a decoy, which explains his non-existant point totals recently, im surprised we havent put him on IR TBH

Cant see us getting another 8 players from on here tbh. Even if we did, who sets the leagues? Might sound a bit daft and no harm to anyone but I like being in the league with some of the guys and if we werent in the same league it maybe wouldnt appeal as much.

I think someone suggested two twelve team leagues - extending an invite to new players or people having secondary teams. I can't see where anyone said cutting the 16 teams to 12.
Well there's Max for a start saying he's no interest in a 16 team league

All this talk of next year is taking aww from the fact that, barring a massive stats correction, it's the Monsters versus the Dolphins in the championship game this weekend. I'm hoping for a championship ring this year, but I cant say I'm too confident when my opponent has the defense which will be taking on Tim Tebow Mk II at the weekend...

I think we should run the normal league as it is next season with whoever wants to play then have a second dynasty or keeper league for those that want it. I'd be up for both.

I hear ya. I don't think there should be any issues with having people in the league with the people they want to be with. All / most of the suggestions I am making are related to adding another league as opposed to changing what we already have. I accept that I am in the minority re: online draft and size of league, so I am bowing out of the 16-team league which makes room for someone else. I'll play with you guys in an additional league if there is one.

I'd be a whole lot more confident tonight had Jordy Nelson not decided to butter up his fingers prior to yesterday's game...94 yd TD...and it's gone!

It's gonna be a close one I think. Teams are fairly matched. First year playing and in the championship game. I'll take that!

Good luck in the championship games!!

As others have said I think we should carry on this league as it is whether folk want to take part or not I will leave that to them (I would prefer it if folk stayed though, it is supposed to be a bit of fun after all).
If someone (MAX! ) wants to set up a keeper league or Dynasty league or live draft that would be awsome, I would be looking to take part in that as well.

Definitely looking to be back next season and as ever, thanks for your peerless work in setting up and managing the league again G.

It's been a different challenge this season, not being able to rely so heavily on the waiver wire, but it certainly taught me to trade a bit better! I really enjoy this format - I enjoy the draft (despite the protestations of some ) and I enjoy playing in a league with like-minded folk and fellow Hibbys, with good banter all around.

I'd be willing to get involved with any new Dynasty/keeper league to give it a go but it would be in addition to and not not at the expense of our current setup.

Cutler sucks and has been disappointing for a few weeks now - Smith had an impressive outing last time he played against our hit or miss defense and I fancy he'll get some good opportunities again this weekend, so I picked him up off of waivers

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a sign of madness - like starting Cutler

    Smashing!

At least if Smith has a horror show this week, I'll be happy on a personal level! Jennings and Matthews didn't practice so far this week so it's not looking good.

Shame, as I'm playing James too

    Indeed - Kaepernick acquired

Even his worst performances of late have been more fantasy relevant than Smith's best so in he goes!

It doesn't really matter this weekend as 2 of my star RBs are out, Edelman is questionable and both TEs are up against 2nd and 4th fewest points vs TEs in the league this year.

    Expecting a thumping this week

Championship week and I drop my TE because Jonny Football is going to be throwing the ball to him. What happens? Brian Hoyer comes into the game and said TE scores an 81yd touchdown.... typical!
