I'm going to play matchup with my QB this season, so I think I'll take Big Ben please.

Ben Roethlisberger - QB - Steelers

I would consider doing that in a league with less than 16 teams, but if everyone holds onto a starter and a backup there are no FA starters in our league at all to pick up week to week, and I wasn't sure it was worth playing matchup between two mid-level QBs.

That being said, Big Ben would have been my choice for a backup!

All free agents will be on our league's waiver wire. The last placed team gets first claim on a player and then it's the second to last team etc... You can put as many claims in as you want but you go to the end of the pecking order after every player you get - so you need to prioritise which players you want to claim. The waiver order is reset every Tuesday.

    Clear as mud?

I realised pretty early on that I wasn't going to get one of the top 3 QB's so figured if I picked up 2 in the mid rounds who were much the same then I can pick the best on a week to week basis rather than having a poorer backup. That being said, if they both start well I can perhaps use one of them as trade bait when Brees or Manning get injured in week one.....

Could prove to be a good tactic with the RBs and WRs you have

Cheers for that, think I've got it! This season is definitely going to be a learning curve, no expecting much!!

Reggie Bush with an 86 yard TD last night. Couldn't he have left that for once the fantasy season starts?

Did anyone see Earl Thomas punt return last night? 50+ yards only needed to break one more tackle.
