    Test Match Series England V S L

    Lunch day 1 ....

    SL 66-3

Not too bad, although they have recovered a bit after been 15-3.

Think England need to win this series to keep number 1 in the world

Got them for 318 all out.

South Africa won 1-0 in New Zealand so think England need to match that to keep number 1 spot

Pietersen and Prior gone quickly after lunch, looks like spin on the sub-continent is going to be Englands undoing again.

This sort of match will hopefully ensure T20 never takes over. Test match cricket is still the best form of the game.

Sri Lanka 84-5 at the end of day two, good bowling effort by England who are just over 200 behind with 5 wickets left to take.

England needing 340 to win on a difficult pitch.

I cant see them getting 200.

Currently 31-1, I'd be surprised if England can get anywhere near their target, good luck though!

Very interesting now, but very boring as well.

This is why i can't watch test stuff at times.

With only Broad, Anderson and Monty left, it seems a SL win all the way now.

Whilst Broad is handy with the bat, neither Anderson nor Panesar are much of a threat with the latter not even great at defending.

These run chases always seem getable but history shows they hardly ever get chased down. Quite close this time tho.

Sri Lanka all out for 275 in the first innings of the 2nd test.

England are currently 95-0 just after lunch.

Todays 1st session has been the only wicketless session of the series so far.

239-2 @ Lunch. If England are going to tie the series I think they'll need to increase the run rate and get a decent lead and give them selves enough time to bowl Sri Lanka out then bat again if required. KP will be the key man here.
