It's not so much the transplant but the immuno-suppresant (anti rejection) drugs he'll be on for the rest of his life after the op, they can be utterly horrific. Good luck to him, if he keeps on playing to a high level then that'll be some achievment.

Good luck to the guy - a top player IMO
Well done also to Barcelona who knew this would need done even after the removal of the tumour and still signed him up on a new contractThis is how it feels
