Have taken a half day on the Friday - no bloody railcard though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If a few of us can get organised to be on the same mid/late afternoon train on the Friday, I'll pay the extra. If not, I'll do what I think I'm going to do on the Monday for heading back to Oxford, which is fly to Birmingham.
Except for the 3.30 train, I can get any train from 3pm onwards, but costing me £15 more than the plane, so you'd need to buy me a can of ale on the train![]()

Travel to the Semis
How is everyone getting up to Edinburgh/Glasgow?
Train is only £37 from Kings Cross (with a railcard). Thinking of taking it after work on the Friday.
I saw McHibby who is based in Cambridge is travelling up through the night

Note to all: the 2pm train from LKX on the Friday can be booked for £25 1st class. No other trains on that day - apart from very early ones - are still available for that offer
I'm doing that for sure, and the same deal on the way back down
Hope to see a few posh Hibbies in 1st class!!

) there are no no trains on the Friday that have the £25 deal on. Plenty left for coming back down on the Monday (I'm on the 2.30)
