We all see it differently. Personally, I found it entirely in keeping with his character.
Probably not that far apart really, I just thought he or his advisers might be a bit savvier about what this obnoxious institution might do for the image he's tried to create for himself.

Very good, but not quite great player and I've got my doubts about the character of the man. It's not as if he needed Sevco's money.

Quite possibly an arrogant streak that will be telling him he can't possibly fail in Scotland.

It’s certainly what most of the pundits in England told him.

That quote from Kings Q C arguing he is penniless is just incredulous
Lying to the Courts Good that it's Lord Bannatyne again He can clearly see through Kings tactics

If the Lying King is so skint, wouldn't the simplest solution be to order him to sell his shares (at 20p) and remove him from the board?

Was thinking he must have even more "off the radar" wealth than the meejah told us Craig Whyte had when he was the Messiah.

I say this because if it was worth his while eventually pleading guilty to 63 tax fraud charges then there must have been quite a lot of money involved before tax. So it can only be a question of time before the legendary, nay mythical warchest is opened and they can finally stop sponging soft loans of any director but dodgy dave and not rely on loan sharks as their lenders of choice

I await the outcome of tonight's titanic struggle against these European giants FC Pushover in that Macedonian temple of world football.

Defeat, and loss of European earnings, together with a potless principal, will surely bring grief and no little financial hardship to the mighty the the Rangers.

I'll have to away and lie down, the prospect of Ibrox meltdown is almost too much for me to hope for.

I thought it was quite a good decision tbh. If he does well, then he gets a great role in England. If he does badly, then the well known problems at Greyskull are a great excuse and he will still get a decent job in England.

Can't see him quitting He is in it for the medium term and will use it as a stepping stone to better job back down South
The Rangers also aren't in a position where they can offload him financially in that time frame
He can't do any worse than previous incumbents of the post

The words "no" and "surrender" come to mind.

Love the bit about not wanting to appoint managers whose experience wasn't good enough. And the bit about the Takeover Panel delaying him from doing what he said he would do. How did the TP do that? All the TP has done is pressure him to stop delaying. No mention of the share issue either, wonder why?

    Complete fantasy...

“I am also still dealing with the Takeover Panel (“TP”) following complaints by the old board and supporters of other clubs to hold me personally liable to make an offer for all the non-consortium shares of RIFC.”

He acted in concert with others to gain more than 30% and simply has to comply with the law and make an offer for the rest of the shares. It’s got nothing to do with the old board or other fans. The above assertion is just ludicrous!

To be pedantic, he's no longer dealing with the TP. It's the Courts that are his problem now.

I think it was the outgoing chairman (Somers) that first raised the issue of King and the 3 Bears being in concert.

It’s not about who grassed (Lee Wallace?). It’s about the laws governing financial takeovers. DK appears to think he shouldn’t be constrained by such mere inconveniences...

Is that Traynorspeak for us regularly skelping them?

A description that we could file away and use for pretty much any of Der Huns propoganda statements from their bunkers

He treats Rangers supporters(rightly?)as imbeciles .He talks about the expense in sacking managers as if he had nothing to do with hiring them.Yet again he claims the TP changed the rules about where funds had to be held. The Panel had a large part of its statement refuting this.He has no regard for the truth and they lap it up.

Can't fault the man for knowing his 'customers' - the fact that what they see/hear from him is complete and utter keech is of no consequence to King !
