    Looper.
Just watched the first 45 mins, switched off to watch Murray on the tennis will watch the end after. Quite enjoyable though some of the time travel stuff fried my brain a bit!

The incredible burt wunderstones worth seeing. Knew nothing about it beforehand and I was glad I went.

Also seen identity thief which was very average as expected and Stolen which was about as cheesy as you can get

    Recently watched:

Dredd: pretty meh, was what I was expecting though to be fair, a "take your brain out for 2 hours" and enjoy the ride type of film, good action scenes and plenty of gore which was nice!

Total Recall: The new one, not the old Arnie one, which is probably in my top 3 all time favourite films. This one I was actually expecting to hate as I love the old one so much, but it was actually a pretty decent film, didn't deviate massively (narrative wise) from the origainal except no aliens on mars. Again, plenty action sequences, plenty killing and Colin Farrell who I usually can't be bothered with was pretty good in it, I've been recommended In Bruges to watch aswell so that's on my to watch list.

The Angels Share - Typical Ken Loach film, from the depths of human despair to the highs of human potential, I'm not usually a fan of these "feel good" films but the subject matter was close to my heart, I do lvoe a nice whisky, so that probably had me hooked from the get go. A great wee film with some laugh out loud moments to boot.

Manhunter - Michael Mann 1986. Bill Petersen, Kim Greist, Brian Cox, Tom Noonan. The first and absolutely the best of the Hannibal Lector films.

Agree which this, an excellent movie. Superb 80s soundtrack as well. The Hannibal films seemed to have gradually went down hill afterwords. Although I do like Silence of the lambs as well.

Cheers for that. Have you seen Tyrannosaur? I've bought it but haven't got round to watching it yet.
I just finished watching that a couple of minutes ago. An absolutely outstanding film, Pete Mullan and Olivia Colman were exceptional. Well worth a watch, don't expect too many laughs though!

Just reading up on 2 films (one out, one upcoming) that has Steve Carrel and James Gandolfini as the lead roles. The second one is about dinosaur bones.......can't picture James Gandolfini is a film like that having been so used to him in The Sopranos.

I've seen Burt Wonderstone, Gandalfini plays a Casino owner so not that far removed from Tony S

If you want to see him in a role you wouldn't expect then watch The Mexican, he plays a gay hitman, its actually a good film too

I've also watched Olympus has fallen which was a decent action flick

Welcome to the punch was pretty good too

Is that the film I have just pasted the poster of?

In New Zealand it is called 'The Intouchables'?!

That's it! I too had problems with the actual name of the film.

I was calling it "Les Intouchables" but I think it translates to "Untouchable". Great film!

Just watched Dredd. Thought it was pretty good. Hopefully they make a sequel despite it tanking slightly at the box office, scope for more I reckon.

I managed to get a hold of Sightseers - not as good as I was expecting but still worth a watch!

The producer has said that there probably won't be a sequel because it tanked on it's cinema release.

Anyway, it has recently come to my attention that not everyone has seen the following films. This should be rectified forthwith:

    The Searchers
    Shane
    Ulzana's Raid
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
    The Wild Bunch

For sheer silliness, The Crawling Eye. 1950's sci-fi - hilarious.

You might find it as "The Trollenberg Terror".

Seen them all before but last few days watched Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Independance Day and Rise of the Footsoldier. First time seen any of them in a while and all brilliant films, the first 2 in particular seemed even better this time round, can't wait for the 3rd of that series to come out.

Here's a fairly obscure recommend for y'all: The man from Earth.

It's a really low budget sci-fi (ish) movie, predominently set in one room. Its mostly a conversation between college professors, one of whom is moving away and claims to be a caveman who has been alive for thousands of years...

One of the most interesting movies I've ever seen with amazing dialogue and it deserves a wider audience. Check it out on IMDB.

Also, if you're sick of generic Hollywood big budget, low intelligence popcorn flicks check out a movie called Mr Nobody.

Watched Gravity the other day, from what is heard I thought it'd be better to be honest. Can't argue that it looks good though, just the actual story let me down a bit I suppose. No aliens? No laser guns? What's the point of space movie without them?

Went to see Anchorman 2 on Saturday night, it's hilarious.

Watched the Carrie remake as well, wish I hadn't bothered.

anyone mentioned moon? Sam Rockwell, awesome movie. slightly long and drawn out one certainly not one for action junkies is the straight story 'bout a guy that drives his tractor over USA to see his brother amazingly captivating if a tad slow. I could go on for hours talking about films one of my true passions not overly knowledgable about them just really enjoy films. couple of classics that people may enjoy Fahrenheit 451, papillon, boys from Brazil, one film I always wished was better was the fatherland rutger Hauer, think the concept is a fascinating while the film is not awful it could have been so much better. for those that don't know the film it's about what if hitler and the nazis had won the war. like my musical taste it ranges from the sublime to the ridiculous. guilty pleasures include never ending story, Labyrinth. I realise now I've spotted on like billy broon on sport sound. but I enjoy reading all the views I'm particularly interested in the Untouchable film.
