Carvalho should have been off as well, already on a booking and totally smashed right through Adriano(I think?).
I bet Salgado was cringing watching Madrid tonight, they have went from a great team with class players like Zidane, Raul, Figo, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos winning 3 champions leagues in 5/6 years to a bunch of thugs who are second best to Barcelona.

Makes a change, granted, but Pepe obviously caught him!
I watch the coverage of the Spanish football and just don't understand Madrid - they don't resort to these tactics week in, week out, but whenever they come up against Barcelona, they switch to thug mode. Pepe, Coentrao (sp?), Alonso and Carvalho all could quite easily have seen red last night.
If I had any power in the echelons of football, Pepe would never be allowed near a football pitch again - a career ending injury couldn't happen to a nicer guyMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.
