Sure I read somewhere that NUFC would replace 10,000 replica shirts for free on a first come, first served basis.

Northern Rock is no more and is now Virgin Money. That in itself using a scandal never mind daft Geordies buying shirts.

I think they are only providing a patch to go over the Northern Rock logo. On the official website they are selling new shirts with the Virgin logo with this warning:
"THE NEWCASTLE UNITED VIRGIN MONEY HOME SHIRT HAS AN APPLIED PATCH OVER THE ORIGINAL SPONSORS LOGO AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE LONGEVITY OF THE APPLICATION. "

Why would anyone want a new shirt? A strips a strip, who cares about the sponsor?

As stated its a patch the players shirts also have this, it looks ok on the outfield shirts but daft on the keepers
