In a company, what is the role of a finance partner?

Google is useless on this topic.

I assume s/he deals with the money coming in and going out as well as advising how to spend the money?

I need to do a 4 minute presentation to highlight the importance of the finance partner's role in relation to regulatory compliance, running the firm as a business and continuing to serve clients.

I don't study business so it's not as easy as I suspected.
