    What's your average pint consumption?

A guy in work has started keeping a diary on what he eats and drinks, he showed me it today and we added up the pints he had consumed between 30 December and 4th January inclusive. Now I know it was new year but he averaged nine pints a day over that period!!!
He then totted up what he expects to drink in a "normal week" and came to the conclusion that he will normally drink on average 3 pints a day over a seven day week!

Compared to my drinking habits that is massive consumption.....................what about you guys?

I should add that he works out for 2 hours every morning in the gym at work and is in pretty good shape.

Doesnae appear to be much different from my "normal" weekly intake!
If i end up being out on Friday and Saturday its considerably more.
I'm just glad I don't touch the stuff in the house!

I'd also like to factor in 4 bottles of red wine, a few G&T's and half a bottle of my new favourite tipple, calvados.

At least I've hit the weed on the head.

I only manage about 2 or 3 pints on a night out then I.switch to the malts.

Over the course of an average week including a big Friday and/or Saturday I usually have about 12-15 pints and double that in whisky.

    Not good really.

Depending on finances, I don't touch the stuff from Sunday - Thrusday, except perhaps a couple of beers on Champion League nights or a nip before bed if I've got a sore throat.

Normally, Friday and/or Saturday can get a bit messy, but I'm off it until next weekend, and have been since Jan 3rd.

Will buy a case of beer once in a blue moon which will last me a couple of weeks, not a drinker at all, will have 1 or 2 during the NFL double headers on Sundays, or if there's a big game on Sky etc, clearly in the minority in Scotland!! I can count the amount of times I've been pashed on one hand.

When living alone in Edinburgh, I easily averaged 50+ pints per week (4-5 per day Mon-Thu and say at least 10 Fri, Sat & Sun), the "Guinness monster" being one of my nicknames.

It seems pretty mental looking back on it but at the time it was easily done. I was always (and still am) a social drinker. I'd leave the office anywhere between 6.00 and 7.30 (though often much later), nip into the pub next door for a couple of hours to chill and have a blether with any of a number of mates who were regulars, then normally a taxi home stopping for some carry-out scran on the way.

Friday night was always the armageddon session. Saturday - 2-3 pints before the match then the same again after - you're already at 5-6 pints before heading out at night.

Those days are long gone now - a combination of family, responsibilities and having to drive everywhere, but I still manage a good kick at the ba' now and again.

I rarely drink outside of going to football and rugby games, and even then I'll often be driving so will only have the one pint. I'd definitely fall in to the 'binge drinking' category as Monday-Friday I'll have zero alcohol intake most weeks and then anything up to maybe 15 pints and a few nips over a weekend, particularly if I'm going to a game both days. Going to a rugby game on Friday night, the Hibs game on Saturday and a rugby game this weekend so that could bump up my average somewhat!

Far too much to be honest. I'm starting to cut down.

Out the odd Thursday, probably looking at around 6 or 7 bottles or pints.

Every Friday without fail, not getting any change from £60, £70. Start on pints of Cider then onto Gin, or Poof Juice if i'm up the town. In the Summer it's usually straight to the boozer from work if the sun's out.

Saturday's are much the same but i'm also bevvying at the game, even moreso if it's an away match.

Sunday for the football if there's a worthwhile match on and i'm feeling half-decent, another 4 or 5 pints.

Fed up *****ing all my cash in the pubs and the hangover's are lasting until Tuesday so i'm slowing it down. Had two sesions since New Year (and I was tucked up in bed before the bells as I was sloshed) which was Cowden and the Darts on Sunday. Mungled both times, Sunday was a total disgrace tbh, spewing up and having to spend £60 on a Taxi home. You do definately get fed up with it
