"If Hibs lose tomorrow Fenlon will be sacked !!!"
Has he not looked at our Cup record we have had worse defeats.
RP would be hammered the fans would call for his head.
I think there is NO chance Fenlon would go if we lose, the fans will give him time but the pressure for a result will mount. No way should Fenlon get the bullet if we get beat it should simply not even be mentioned.

He's been cracking the same line every week since PF walked through the door @ ER. Probably Intended as another cheap throw-away gag - he got a collective chuckle from the Sportsound guys first time around - so he's hammered this line to death.
I wouldnt get bothered about anything this nobody says.

My mistke. I thought the thread was Tam Cowan = Funny and I chipped in to disagree.

Tam Cowan, because of his meaningless association with a "trivial and petty" 'football' radio programme, is given far too much credence as a football pundit/observer/commentator. Motherwell's fleeting experience with moderate success has gone to his head and anything he says should be taken with a ton of salt. Anyone who finds him remotely funny should have his humour glands checked ASAP.

It's a throwaway line - he knows a Hibs defeat tomorrow isn't going to happen.

Fingers crossed Queens Park get a result tomorrow to wipe the smile off his smug face.

Cowan = a fat pie eating cock. ENDOF.
One season wonder team and he's getting trouser splash.
Hates Hibs with a passion.
Bawbag of the highest order.

I'm not a doom and gloomer but
The three games i've seen over xmas have resulted in Hibs playing 4-5-1 two games of these at home v ICT & Hearts both 1v1 after 80mins and he has not gone for the game!
I realise he's trying and testing his squad but he's already made a few mistakes...ps the league of Ireland ain't even close to the SPL...us Scots are to harsh on our league due to the bordum of it...but it's a step up for PF's league, the players are taking the blame and rightly so but PF has made some errors too,if he doesn't get some decent players in and start winning (by that i mean going forward) he will be getting the bullets by mid Feb!
The way i look at it is, if we r crap better to attack and score than hang on for a beating as our defence is brutal
anyway onward and upward hail hail

I don't mind him.
Him and Cosgrove, regardless of your particular sense of humour, are way better than the usual OF apologists that you might otherwise be subjected to. TC might be giving Hibs a hard time just now but he won't be shy at slating others as well, especially the OF.

What is wrong with this place? A guy makes what he thinks is a humorous remark and people are straight on the defensive.
There's clearly no way Fenlon will get sacked if we lose today, Tam Cowan's comments are in jest.
Tam Cowan is usually also pretty funny IMO, enjoy 'Off the Ball'.

Cowan thinks he is a comedian....!! if you listen to his style it is pretty crap....!! when he was on STV with Michelle Mcmanus,he was a bit embarrasing....to say the least, his West Coast /supposedly Scottish banter is not good his put on accent ,mmm.!...as to Hibs getting beat again....it is possible.....!!! ,but as we all know...and believe me this comes from a good source....by January's end this load of so called professional players should...should be gone...!!!whether it is an improvement well that is in the hands of Fenlon...!!,all we can do as supporters is hang on in there,it could be worse.....there is massive problems brewing over at Tynecastle.....at least our problems can be "sorted",....if Romanov walks..........the **** will hit the fan...............

It wasn't the funniest of lines but it was still intended as a joke. Harmless banter rather than serious punditry.
Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
He'll die before he's sold.

I think Tam Cowan is pretty quick and naturally funny. It's when he does scripted stuff (eg. on "offside") that it just falls flat.

Nothing to do with what he said, but, as I've said before on here he should stick to writing his restaurant reviews for The Daily Record magazine.

I did however stop in in his tracks stating that he was like an English commentator going on bout England 66 WC win.
Ma buddies were pissing themselves ... He was speechless.
