25-11-2011 12:48 PM #3Indeed. Nice place, as long as you're happy with the world's most venerable bar staff taking approx 3 years to serve you a pintThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If I've get the day off work may have to come down, my english team play that day, but its only at home, and no one really important, may pop down with a few of the people I'm going up with on 21st.
As long as they serve Strongbow, its a good enough pub!
Are prices reasonable, or do they higher them for the football?

Strongbow is my tipple of choice, but, I think its Blackthorn they sell. They must stock well over 100 different bottled Belgian/German beers though, so, theres plenty of choice!

For those who are 'in Town' for the Derby - we'll be meeting in Quinn's at 11.45am for a wee sharpener before the game (KO -12.15pm)
After the match, resident chef Pierre will be serving soft-shelled crab with nashi pear and a plum wine dipping sauce. Organic sea trout with bulgur wheat tartar and preserved lemon salsa and a meat course of poussin with lemon myrtle.
Food orders will be taken at half-time.
House wine Cornas Chaillot 1998 Thierry Allemand from The Wine Society.
