What are you listening to now?

I'm sure there's a thread like this but can't find it just now. Someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

I'll kick off this new thread with...

Collin McCloughlin - Stereo Hearts cover

Trey Palms ft Florence - Got the love

The Killers - A Dustland Fairytale

    Deadmau5 - Raise your weapon

Quite a mix in there, some will like one or two - others none

Been listening to Black Country Communion's second album, 2, quite alot this week. If you like rock music then definitely give it a shot. Joe Bonamassa is a truly amazing guitarist and Jason Bonham is following in his fathers footsteps as a rock drumming powerhouse.

    Cris Cab

Just discovered Cris Cab, reckon he's going to be big. A lot of his stuff is instrumental and he started off doing covers of "All of the Lights" and "Black and Yellow" but has now released a Free EP titled "Foreword" which can be downloaded here. He's very 'current' and it makes for easy listening so I think he will be able to fit into anyone's tastes.

Black and Yellow Cover (Wiz Khalifa)
All of the Lights Cover (Kanye West)

    Take you away
    Good Girls
    Better off running

"Learn to Burn" by Electric Frankenstein is superb too.

Saw The Bones supporting Social D a few years back, great band live.

Not heard "Sink with California" by YB for years, I'll need to dig that out...

got the new artic monkeys album today...listened to it once on the way home from work...as with all artic monkeys stuff it will take a few listens before the songs penetrate the soul but im hopeful it will grow into a decent body of work...will report my finding after 5 full listens.

also listening to Neil Young's 'Life'....an album from the late eighties...more relevant now than it was then as it explores the middle east/north african conflicts particulary Lybia...he's a genius

Unfortunately not. It's a bit expensive to fly back from Australia for.

On the Floor - Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - not my normal type of music but I love this...

The Wombats - Techno Fan - another surprise to me - I really dislike the mass of indie bands out there, particularly those who push their accents, but This Modern Glitch is a damned good album.

Pendulum - The Island pt. 1 (Dawn) - You'd be forgiven for thinking I'm a dance fan, but I'm not. Another good song from one of my favourite bands - definite summer song.

Breaking Benjamin - Anthem of the Angels - Back to more my "area" of music - new song from their new album. I wish their lead singer would overcome his fear of flying so I could bloody well see them live!

Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man - not a huge fan of Mumford and Sons, but this is definitely one of the better tracks on Sigh No More.

Methodic Doubt - Half the Man - soundtrack to X-Men: First Class and a grand instrumental it is too.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Nor mine, but it's a tune when you've had a few and the birds love getting up for it!

    Where did you hear that?

I'm impressed by their music so far though, surely that's the main thing?
