Fauldhouse Foxes Under 13`s Captain Alyshia Walker won't be allowed to play in the home nations showpiece at Birmingham City's stadium because English FA rules prohibit mixed teams.
Alyshia has banged in more than 50 goals in just 21 games so far this season and has won caps for Scotland at under-15 level. She was recently voted the best player in this years Scottish cup final and that qualifies for the four nations Tesco Cup play-offs in Birmingham.

It's a complete disgrace, but nothing is going to happen prior to Sunday. She's been on Lorraine Kelly and the One Show, coverage all over the Scottish media, MSPs writing in. All of whom have slaughtered the FA, but they haven't shown the slightest bit of interest.

Signed. I understand WHY the rule is in place but it's also a little silly. Let the girl play!

Signed.
If Alyshia's team qualified for this tournament with her playing and nothing was mentioned until now that she wouldnt be allowed to play then its a total nonsense and these auld duffers should see bloody sense.
Anyway, dont we have sex discrimination and human rights laws in this country.
I cant remember who said it, but nothing is truer than the old saying.
Rules are made for the guidance of wise men and the obayance of fools.

What about the 5 Hibs girls not being allowed to play because they are too young?
The English FA really are killjoys.

I am not sure if it comes down to having to comply with 4 sets of changing rooms at every venue. I am sure though that one day it will be abolished. If you had an adult female playing for Hibs say, It would basically be placing a restraint of trade upon her. So therefore illegal under employment legislation...However, she is of school age so rules regarding that are different. Shame really, she sounds a good player by all accounts.

Funny when she banged in 6 penalties against Jim Leighton on the one show (she has a rocket of a shot)...and Rod Stewart (albeit in his socks ) only managed 2
