Golfing teas are regularly upset with poorly coordinated sock and jumper combinations, overdone wedges and half-baked birdies. Watch out for stray bogies with today’s Groupon: £14 for an 18 hole round of golf with lunch at Kingsknowe Golf Club
Set in the rolling Scottish hillside, Kingsknowe Golf Club has been providing members with cherry tree-lined fairways and well-guarded greens since the early 1900s. Originally designed by Alec Herd, the 1902 Open Champion, the course was later re-imagined by renowned golf course architect James Braid. The course comprises of several tough dogleg par fours throughout the 18 with the feature hole coming at the 460-yard par four sixteenth.
Groupon gamers can grab a club and prepare to propel their balls to success with an 18 hole round of golf. There will also be a chance for a sustaining bite of sandwich and soup whilst feasting eyes on delightful views of Edinburgh in the clubhouse dining room.

My wife got me the Prestonfield one last year but found it disappointing.
Anyway I get to play Kingsknowe for a tennerLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"
