I thought this was worth moving from the news forum onto the main forum. I was lucky enough to be at last night's unveiling and it was excellent.
It took place on the 70th anniversary of Gordon Smith signing for Hibs and he just happened to play that day and scored all the Hibs goals in a 3-1 victory over Hearts.
The medals aren't on show at the moment as a more secure cabinet needs to be found for them, but hopefully the Hibernian Historical Trust will be able to put them on show for all to see soon.
Well done to all involved, and to those who helped raise the funds required to buy the medals.
If anyone has a picture from last night please feel free to post it up.

The strips should be like that every season. Nothing worse than the jazzy, snazzy, patterny dross clubs put out. Stick with tradition and besides being the simplest of designs, it's still by far the smartest of shirts, decades on.
