I agree. As for TITP i can remember when you could get tickets the day before it started as it never used to sell out. Now its far too commercialised and every man and his dog want to go and you cant get tickets for love nor money. Not that id want tickets. I feel sorry for the people that go as its overpriced and overated and in general just a giant con.
I canny be arsed with all the dafties with the drugs and those wannabe posh rockers who think they are Gods gift. Beat it!
I sometimes think i should be on Grumpy Old Men

I wonder if the organisers this year are going to face a sizeable number of ticket returns from people who purchased either day tickets or weekend tickets with Blink 182 as their main "reason" for doing so.
They'll (organisers) no doubt be delighted that they get to add yet another indie band to the lineup at the expense of a non-Indie headline act.
The Strokes first album was brilliant - they've done very little since and aren't even in the same league as Blink 182 in terms of pull or material.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Granted, considering the sheer indie-nature of TITP, The Strokes are maybe a better fit, but otherwise...Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Anyway, seeing as I've only ever heard of 1 Blink 182 song I had a quick check for their "successful back catalogue", they've only made 5 albums, which is only one more than The Strokes.

You're using the word "better", which is not what I'm suggesting in the slightest. Blink 182/The Strokes aren't "better" than the other (as it's purely subjective), but in terms of their success and fanbase, Blink 182 are MUCH bigger than them. So by your analogy of success and following, yes, the BeeGees would be "better" than the 2 of them.
The Strokes might have released a similar number of albums, but compare the successes of Blink's albums to The Strokes (multi-platinum/platinum's vs. gold and 3x platinum releases). I'm not arguing about quality of music (it's such a pointless argument regardless of bands) but clearly, based on album/single and release successes, Blink 182 are by far and away the bigger of the 2 bands (who offered one of the few alternatives to a grossly indie-heavy lineup).Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.
