What is it with Patriots Super Bowl games and outrageous catches?

Falcons have fired their DC and DL coach.

In a way after the superbowl I'm glad Shanahan went to SF and not Denver. Some of that playcalling in the 4th was shocking. When they were in FG range with the ball they should have just ran it a few times and run the clock down or force NE to use timeouts, them kick a FG from a good distance. Instead they tried to pass it twice lost a ton of yardage that put them out of FG range and didn't get much time off the clock.

The Patriots really should have two championships taken off them. Atlanta and Seattle may as well have handed two of those rings right over. And that's before we talk about the tuck rule season.

    Luckiest sporting franchise ever

This is the worst week of the year, because we're the furthest Sunday away from any NFL football.

Still, Spring Training is merely days away!

    From us uncut

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick are notoriously friendly with Donald Trump, with Brady throwing his support behind the billionaire real estate mogul early on in the Republican primary, and Belichick even writing a letter of support to Trump prior to Election Day. Nazi ****lord Richard Spencer also announced his support for New England during the Super Bowl, citing Brady and Belichick’s affinity for Trump and the whiteness of the Patriots’ roster.

Chris Long announces he's boycotting white house visit..

The GOAT loves the goat. To be fair, I'm sure the Pats have as representative a cross section of opinion as any sports franchise. Six players including Long aren't going to the white house. But it's good to fish

I was pished, so excuse the typo.

My point was/is why bring politics to this thread?

We're here to talk football, not politics. Save that for the holy ground.

Yeah, and the LA Chargers will be churning the turf at the Stubhub Center and it will be like watching Hearts rather than the LA Galaxy next season. Hopefully the rental money will bring us an upgrade to the Champion's Lounge at least.

I was referring to the MLB Spring Training

Besides, the Chargers won't train on the actual field, and look at Wembley - they manage to keep that looking pristine during the busy period when both England and the NFL are being played on it.

Not reporting the posts mate, just think that the politics needs left off the thread.

Anyway, let's just get back to talking about football.

The chargers are playing at the stubhub? Not big enough surely?

I keep showing how little I know about American Sports despite living here for 15 years. MLB is the one I know least about.

There are precedents for pitch damage at the StubHub and the grass has been replaced often. It won't be for long though and hopefully we will get some stadium upgrades to match the new facilities at LAFC's coming up next season.

I was thinking the same. Why not the Rose Bowl? StubHub only holds about 27,000 but there is also a grass berm which kind of adds to the atmosphere if they sell general access there and people sit on the grass slope. Should be quite a good atmosphere when packed with enthusiastic fans.

I think the Chargers are trying to give San Diego diehards an easier journey. In rush hour it would take a lot longer to drive to Pasadena than Carson.

Plus the LA Galaxy Champion's Lounge and American Express Lounge are superb for hospitality. The catering is top notch and provided by the same group that does the Lexus Club and San Manuel Club at the Staples Center.

Not the Lakers this year but the Kings can do well as number 8 seeds as New Jersey found out in 2012.

Just watched "Invincible" with Mark Wahlberg about the true story of Vince Papale. They probably still do tryouts at NFL teams and there are a few near you. Imagine being the first Hibby to win the Super Bowl.
