Is the MetLife stadium in New York City or State..?
    Sssshhhh :)

Very easy to get to from Manhattan and good transport links all round. Cracking views on your way back into the city as well. Still, the Giants can have New York and we can have New Jersey, sounds good to me. Doesn't stop us being the Hibs of the NFL.

Plus Geno is obviously the Sean Welsh to IK Enemkpali's Scott Martin

Typical, typical Jets - best preseason our QB has had, finally weapons around him and he is literally sucker punched

Geno Smith reportedly threw a punch but it was intercepted.

Hibs - Jets, good call on that one, from a big city, but seem to be frustrated. Lose at outposts such as Buffalo.
    Dumbarton - Buffalo.
    Yams - Giants, Jets rival.
Sevco - Steelers, love em or hate em, Bears or Raiders might be other options.
Celtic - Pats, multiple championships, maybe Cowboys.
Aberdeen - Seattle, cold, wet city way out there, good team.
QotS - Miami, think South Beach.
ICT - Green Bay, great white north.
Ross County - Vikings, further north.

Hmm. Yes there is a rivalry there but nothing to the extent that we have with the Patriots or the Dolphins. I would imagine Giants fans would say the same about the Cowboys and Redskins. Same in baseball, we (the Mets) have a dislike for the Yankees but our main rivals are the Braves and Phillies from our division.

Know some gnats and jessies over there, no rivalry at all between them.

Now when I handed over my Patriots BoA card in NYC...

I get that pre-season is scarcely an indication of how the season will necessarily pan out but I'll confess to being worried about the year ahead based on how we've performed in our two opening pre-season games.

Absolutely paperthin offensive line, a leaky defense and I don't see a wealth of offensive weapons yet...Blount as RB1 is worrying.

Having said that, I have zero expectations for the forthcoming season other than to enjoy having football back!

Anyone watching Hard Knocks? Brian Cushing seems a bit of a bully in the last one.

It seems kind of awkward this year. Im not sure anyone on the texans apart from Big Vince even speaks to JJ.

Love Hard Knocks. Yet to start watching this season but I'm sure it'll be as good as ever

We've only played one pre-season game so far. Second one on Saturday in Nawlins.

I wouldn't read tooo much into it since a lot of the first team don't even get on the field and just last week the Patriots had 23 players missing from practice because they were listed as injured.

Don't worry about Blount, not when Gray is waiting to take his place. :-)

I think they look like a team that's going to tank this year, there doesn't seem to be much of a team spirit, they have lost a star player and their QB's are about average.

I also think a lot of the F-bombs aren't needed.

Way, way past it. Would be just as well signing Randy Moss. Wayne was a real good player but age and injuries have caught up with him I'm affraid. That said, he aint coming to be a number 1 WR and is there to make up the numbers so guess its a no lose situatuion for both parties.

I view it as a pretty desperate roll to try and patch up our crocked receiving corps just now.

Not a signing that excites me TBH.

I agree, this is not a signing around which we're going to build our team. Who knows what is up with Brandon LaFell? Danny Amendola, healthy, but still not being considered as the next Wes Welker that people thought he was going to be - maybe he'll have a breakout year? As a LaFell owner I've read a lot about this signing over the past day and the vast majority of people are saying that while Reggie could be useful for the Patriots he's not fantasy relevant simply because he's not going to put up fantasy numbers. Two things I have to say about that. Firstly, he was injured last year (triceps) and so it might be unfair to use last year as a yard stick. He's not getting any younger but if he can bounce back a little then he could be useful. He's not a deep threat but neither is Brady (typically). Secondly, Hibs.net is a 16 team league and after the draft there's slim pickin's on the waiver wire unless you take a chance on a raw rookie or a journeyman. Faced with these options, which would you take:
    a. a player on your roster whose injury status is uncertain,
    b. a raw rookie who has to fight to make the roster,
    c. an aging journeyman?

Touch choice to make. On one hand you don't necessarily want to punt a player your drafted but holding onto him is a waste if he's not going to play. I'm not speaking specifically of LaFell here, he wasn't a fantastic pick anyway.
