That was brilliant, fair play to McCarron for making the final call for bama

What a cracking game, both defences have big question marks over them IMO, it will be interesting to see if Bama can make the championship game again.

Don't think anyone will be able to stop that A&M offence effectively this year, bamas toughest game (on paper, barring SEC championship if they get there) out the way, three-peat?

Outstanding comeback win for the Bears against the Vikings earlier.

Really looking forward to the Manning bowl shoot-out!

For a game of this magnitude I would usually stay up but I start my new job tomorrow so don't fancy it on no sleep.

I'm considering grabbing three hours sleep now and two after the game. Alternatively just recording it, avoiding the internet tomorrow and watching it as-live tomorrow afternoon.

I'm pretty excited for it, dont know if I can wait til tomorrow . Also quite pessimistic, due to our weak play on both the offensive and defensive lines last week. We need a massive improvement tonight, Cliff Avril needs a big game at DE on his debut and no more stupid penalties please...

Seattle can win so long as Anquain Boldin receives for 400 yards and scores 7 TDs

Me too, fell asleep at the delay.

Sounds like an old school performance. Defence, running game and Sherman shutting down Boldin to 7 yards receiving always love to see Harbaughs face when he loses.

Great Weekend. Saints and Hibs win.

The saints did well to win a game that we looked like losing. A bit like the patriots always seem too.

Alot of NFC teams lost this week which is always good.

12 days until I leave for New Orleans!

I think the 49ers will struggle this season against teams with a genuine shutdown corner like Sherman (or Peterson at Arizona or Revis or either of those Bears CBs). Except for Boldin I dont think the 49ers have that many genuine threats in the passing game, until Crabtree comes back or they get a young player breaking through. Keep Boldin quiet and you're halfway there.

moment of the week for me was Arizona cornerback Patrick Peterson lining up on an offensive play, taking the ball from Palmer and throwing a nice pass to the wide receiver to go 1 for 1

Some good games on the cards today. Falcons and Dolphins sticks out for me as I want to see how well Miami manage against quality opposition! Also want to see Stafford and tear this suspect Redskins defence apart (purely from a fantasy perspective )

Some real david v goliath matchups as well. I popped into the bookies to do a seven team accumulator and Seattle are 33/1 ON to beat Jacksonville at home Washington Detroit should be a good one, and massively important for the 0-2 Redskins. RG3 doesn't look comfortable at all on that knee.

Feel bad for Franklin. He had a rough preseason and looked good finally getting his big shot - only to have that fumble!

He looks good though, he, lacy and starks could cause some real problems when they are fit.
