We've NO chance. How comes no one thought it would be a good idea to mention our Safety Jim Leonhard broke his leg at the weekend. I'd have thought twice about running my mouth if I'd known. Brady will rip us a new one and they will be out of sight come half time.

3-24 at the half...
3-45 at the finish. No INTs for Brady and he has now broken Brett Favres record of consecutive regular season home wins.
Brilliant game.Last edited by Haymaker; 07-12-2010 at 03:39 AM.

Was expecting a Pats win but not 3-45. Gonna have to look up the highlights for this one!

Game.Statement!
Huge win for us - absolutely HUGE win. Still doesn't mean anything yet, as our run-in is a hard one, but to smash the Jets quite so comfortably, despite their good season thus far is encouraging.
Heads up though guys - you're probably still odds on to make the playoffsMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

That was just plain humiliating tonight, especially the sideline antics with Bart Scott. I understand Sanchez is going to have off nights but the defence were made to look like total fools by Brady tonight.
Still don't rate the Patriots though.

Just done watching the highlights and both our offense and defense were absolutely outstanding last night - I've seen a lot of teams this year, but we probably have one of the most diverse offensive units in terms of play variability.
Defense looked good, though I have to ask AH (and DH when he comes out of hiding) - why DO the Jets fail so catastrophically when it doesn't come together? When you lose, it always seems to be because your offense is limited to fieldgoals - it's staggering - when you're bad, you're a disaster, which just shouldn't be, considering some of your personnel.

im sure the Jets and Pats have to play the bears soon, while the Packers have the Pats and Giants.
This could make for an interesting run in

Patriots
@ Chicago (probably the second Sky game next week)
vs Green Bay (Channel 4)
@ Buffalo
vs Miami
Jets
vs Miami
@ Pittsburgh
@ Chicago (tough 2 weeks back to back)
vs Buffalo
Packers
@ Detroit
@ New England
vs NY Giants
vs Chicago (Surely the Sky Sports early game)
Chicago
vs New England
@ Minnesota
vs Jets
@ Green Bay
I'd reckon we need to win 2 to guarantee the playoffs - probably the same with the Jets and Chicago - I'd say the Packers are looking at winning 3 and hoping either New England or the Jets can bring down the Bears at Soldier Field.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. Last night's game was superb. The Pats dominated in every area of the game. The Jets made it easy for us by deciding to play just as badly as I hoped they would. It was beautiful to watch them crumble.

Take it you got to see the game then.
We should make the wildcard but if we don't win another game this season it wont surprise me. Do not underestimate just how much of a loss Leonhard is to our D. The Pats also showed that any team with a half decent TE will rip us apart (and they got two).

Like I've said before, our D will always stuggle against a team with a descent TE and the fact you got two in Gronkowski and Harnandez gives you great variability(can't believe they are both rookies). The Danny Woodhead thing was always going to happen(still don't understand why we cut him) and of course you got a certin QB.
Simple really, it's Jets football. Way it is and way it's always been. We will always find a way to fall on our face. You get use to it after a while (its just like watching Hibs, they often promise so much but will without doubt blow it one way or another). You got to remember though, this is all new to us. When was the last time we were looking to seriously make a challange for the Superbowl? Rem you talking about a team who have only ever won the divison 4 times in their history, that's division not conference or SB.
Or if you want, field goals? Have you seen Nick Folk this year? He has been utter crap. Did you see the first one he missed last night. Didn't even make the net and of course there's Schottenhimer. The least said about him the better.
Would a loss to the Pack be a stumble? Wouldn't surprise me if they beat you. Think they in with a shout of making the Superbowl myself.

Yeah I did, thanks for the PM! The adverts were bloody annoying though!
Leonhard is a massive loss but the way you crumbled shows the lack of leadership on D (if not the whole team). Yes a massive blow but you shouldnt have allowed us to get that many points and close you down so much.
Mind you, Brady, Welker and Brianch are the types of players to open up any team if they sense the slightest weakness. Maybe if you had an different opponent instead of a divisional rivalry you could have calmed the nerves. Brady et al never let you settle knowing that.

Currently:
New England 7-0 Chicago
Miami 10-0 New York Jets
For some reason, I'm more worried about tonight's game against the Bears than I was last week.
Hopefully I'll be proven wrong and we can do you a favour - very poor result against an utterly woeful Lions side in what was a dire game.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.
