I imagine, for the neutrals (or anti-Pats) amongst you, that this has been a cracking game! Patriots lead 31-14, before an awesome performance from Manning brought them back to 31-28. With the Colts in FG range, with 3 timeouts and 49 seconds remaining, we FINALLY got pressure to Manning in the pocket and he overcooked his pass into the waiting hands of Cunningham - 2 knees and game over.

HUGE win ahead of a difficult trip to Motor City on Thursday.

I at least expected OT as well, seeing as they were in FG range. We were leading 31-14 in the 4th quarter last year, and Bellichick made the decision to go for it at 4th and 1, leading to us losing the game - I thought a repeat was on the cards and was far from happy at the 2 minute warning - glad Manning made an arse of it - so uncharacteristic, as he's a sensational QB, but it bailed us out!

    Peyton who?

Cracking game all round, in all seriousness I did think we had blown it AGAIN to the Colts but safe hands from Cunningham made it all fine.

Did anyone see the Giants game? Ellis Hobbs to a bad one, I thought he was in serious trouble at first!

Didn't watch it, but did see the highlights about half an hour ago on the ESPN website - the 3rd or 4th replay, which show you him hitting the deck, utterly motionless with his eyes wide open was chilling.

Thankfully he was alright in the end!

Yeah it was chilling, whe you saw him talking on the field it was a relief until you saw the Doctor pinching his arms and legs. He might have been alive but it was a question of would he be able to move again.

Luckily later on he walked out of the medical room.

Not a huge fan of the Colts but really thought you might slip up against them.
What's the rest of your schedule like? It really looks like our game in New England is going to be huge.

I sincerely hope the Eagles fined him for that! Mercy me!

I can't find the video, but in the New England @ San Diego (I think?) game earlier in the year, San Diego caught the ball for what should have been a first down, but the referee didn't state the San Diego TE as "down", so he got up and left the ball, and New England recovered the ball.

    Was brilliant!

    Currently:

New England Patriots 3-14 Detroit Lions

No other defense has gotten to Brady this season, quite like the Lions have today.

Still early, and I'm hopeful we can turn this around...

    Half time at Ford Field:

    New England 10-17 Detroit

Better finish to the half with an impressive drive and better protection to Brady. Hopefully can keep it going in the second half.

What an utterly unstoppable second half offensive performance. How many variations of plays did we employ!

Helped by another awesome performance by Devon McCourty with 2 picks.

    Tom Brady - sensational QB

I'd be REALLY grateful if the Bengals could muster a win vs the Jets tonight ahead of the MASSIVE game next Monday...

Another top addition this year has been Dan Woodhead, who was turfed by the Jets at the start of the season.

He's been awesome on both offense AND defense.

That win could have a huge bearing on our post-season appearance, as the race for the WC slot is as tight as the AFC East race right now.

Both of our run-ins to the end of the season is challenging, to say the least...

    NY Jets (H)
    @ Chicago
    Green Bay (H)
    @ Buffalo
    Miami (H)

    Jets:

    @ NE Pats
    Miami (H)
    @ Pittsburgh
    @ Chicago
    Buffalo (H)

tough run ins indeed. I think we can take the Jets at home, they might be winning but it seems to be close recently. Chicago is a good prospect and so is Buffalo and Miami... the only one that really worries me is Green Bay.

Bills are on fire just now and Chicago aren't 7-3 for no reason - I don't fear Miami, but the Jets at home are ALWAYS challenging.

I've learned about getting optimistic when it comes to following the Pats

Saints are absolutely hammering the Cowboys just now - just started the 2nd quarter and New Orleans are up 17-0, with Dallas having just turned the ball over on downs, having gone for it at 4th and 1, to no avail.

10 seconds into the 2nd quarter - Saints could set a record NFL score if they keep pounding away at them - nothing better than watching the Cowboys get pumped on Thanksgiving Day

Between the Ashes and the Bengals @ Jets I'm not sure how I can be expected to sleep.

Brad Smith is some player, 80 yard kick return TD with only one shoe! As a newcomer to the sport I don't really have a 'team' but I'm warming to the Jets!

They'll have gained a lot of new fans this year I'm guessing, as they're playing some really good football.

Another good win, though against a team they would be expected to beat.

Next Monday is going to be an absolute cracker @ Foxborough
