I have the luxury of being a short train ride into London and being able to sleep in my own bed before and after

Surely a .net drink sometime over that weekend can be arranged? Shame nowhere will be showing the QoS vs Hibs game.
Did a plan ever get made re: a .net drink?

Just about to cycle down to Trafalgar Square, see what that's all about!

I'll be in Brewdog Shepherds Bush from about 8 onwards if anyone's about, I accept it's a bit out the way though.

My girlfriend is the manager so there's a reasonable chance I might be in at some point tonight!

Highlight of the day, walking about London and seeing so many Jets jerseys about town :)

Out of intrest, anyone know if its tonight that the clocks change?

See that there's no pre game show tomorrow.

Bit disappointed with that especially considering the Jags game has the Ohio State marching band coming over.

I think I read somewhere the lack of pre game show was to do with 'normalising' the IS games to make them more like a regular Sunday game, potentially in preparation for a London franchise.

Aye I read pretty much the same thing. I'm down for the Chiefs Lions game and there's not even a fan rally or anything the day before. The rugby World Cup final is on the Saturday so could be partly to do with that but most of the noise is that it is to make it seem like less of a one off occasion.

When a Miami native on the tube back into town seriously suggests Tebow as an answer to our problems you know it's pretty bad.

Was a good day - just a shame it was such a poor game really. Threatened to break into a good game a couple of times but deary me, the Dolphins were awful! Blowing the first of the 4 efforts to score whilst in the Red Zone, drawing the penalty for pass interference in the end zone and getting another four downs and blowing them too was endemic of their offense for the day.

Ended up sitting beside a group of 6 New Yorkers (firemen too and great guys) and we had a superb chat for the full game. There was some good banter when they found out I was a New England fan but it was all really nicely spirited and we're going to keep in touch via email now. Heroes and gentlemen to boot.

  15. #7574
Yeah, wasnt great. Miami were poor and we aren't gonna get anywhere with out QB's :( Still a great time had by all and cant wait till next time. Hopefully it'll be in New York though :)

Joe Philbin sacked as Miami head coach.

Correct decision imo. He seems a decent guy but is way out his depth as a HC.

    Colts @ Jags
    Eagles @ Bengals
    Browns at home to someone.

Everyone was saying the packers were over against jags (still could be) as i said the lad who originally gave info has previous but taking it with a pinch of salt. Can't imagine the eagles being over here, I better start saving just incase.

Seahawks would be good but don't know if the car park is big enough for all those bandwagons.

Hey, if it can cope with all the bandwagons that we attract, I'm sure Seattle will be just fine!

it was indeed a mistake by the officials, although the ball was bouncing out of the back of the end zone anyway before Wright batted it, so it wasn't as if we would have gained an advantage by him batting it out. If he'd have left it alone it still would have been a touchback Seahawks ball.

We looked very good in most areas last night, Russell made some unbelievable plays, the defense didn't concede a TD for the second week in a row, but our O Line is a total shambles. Even worse than last season. It'll be interesting to see how Marshawn does without decent blocking next week when he returns from injury.

What about that play to knock the ball from megatron though talk about never giving up. Pay that man!

    Yeah, show him the money!

t's been night and day since Kam came back. He's the most intimidating player in the whole league IMO. Our problem is, our 'strategy' is to pay big bucks to keep our star players and fill the rest of the roster with hungry players who are paid relatively peanuts. Those hungry players are now becoming established players. So players like Kam, who was a lower round pick and signed on a modest contract but is now a genuine All Pro, look at Sherman and Earl Thomas and think 'is that guy really worth ten times what I get paid?'. (And our O Line is full of players who are there cos they're basically cheap, and it shows. Russell is going to get an injury soon the way he's getting banged about).

Like anything else, it's only a good strategy when it works!

Right guys I need a bit help from all you knowledgable types.

A college team, who should I pick? I've been watching college football for the best part of a year now and really want a team to support properly. My NFL team is the Dolphins so I picked the U for the Miami connection but I'm not really getting into them, not least because I can rarely find them on UK tv. A guy in my work is a big Florida State fan and travels over to see them at least once a season and I quite like them but again I just can't quite get into them.

I know it's not totally neccessary to have a team but it does make things more interesting. Any suggestions?
