Googled "Northwest Passage" in another context entirely, and found this.

I have NEVER heard this man singing before tonight.

Awesome.

He was Canadian, died aged 33 in a plane wreck about 25 years ago.

I can't access this at work but is it the song that goes something like:

"And for one last time, we will take the Northwest Passage,
to find the hand of Franklin pointing towards the Beaufort Sea".

Always liked that song but don't know much about it.
