Well done on the pictures, its great to see it taking shape. It really be a great home when it's completed, and light years ahead of about 98% of Scottish stadiums.

When you think about the embarrassing fuss those plums across the city made with their application in all those boxes! Here they are still left with that asbestos-ridden death trap. It really rubs their nonsense and incompetence back in their faces.

    Keep them coming!

    Cheers for the pics.

At the rate their going you'd think it could be possible that they will have it like that right across so it was already the size of the actual stand in the next few weeks.

Looks like a few weeks could even see it finished - they're not dawdling.

By my reckoning, there are were 5 cantilever struts up yesterday (May 10th) and the first ones went up on May 5th - so an average of one per day. The West Stand appears to have 18 struts, so in theory, we could have the length of the stand done in another fortnight.

That assumes the build plans contunue as they are, as opposed to them doing (say) half the structure, then some internal work, then the second half.

IIRC it took mid-January to July to build the West. This one shouldn't take so long, being single-tier and no dressing-rooms, hospitality, treatment rooms, etc, and they do seem to be cracking on with it.

It's coming up to the middle of May now....

It'll be months rather than weeks, but it should be done early in the new season. Some time in August, beginning of September?

Once it's up, it still has to get a safety certificate, mind.

Think Hibs are missing a trick by not putting a bar in the east, surely something they are looking at down the line? About >95% of old east-standites have had at last 1 pint before the game! BTG always mobbed, makes sense to me, just let walkups in aswell showing a match ticket, another money spinner, surely be a winner?
