Goalies: Young Maka and three keepers who, for whatever reason, have been round the houses but know they will probably continue to make a reasonable living, either at Hibs or elsewhere.
Wotherspoon: talented but too much too soon and too young to succeed in a sliding team.
Bamba: some talent but probably wants to be elsewhere, is blinded by his Ivory Coast achievements into ignoring his inconsistency.
Hogg: honest pro but limited as a central defender
Murray: one of the players who does care, but probably too much and ends up trying to do everything
Stevenson: confidence seems to have gone with not being played, suffers form not knowing best position
McBride: inconsistent, not talented enough to rise above mediocre performances around him;
Miller: clearly flawed given his history; could be psychological, could be his slight stature, could be he's lost his hunger
Stokes: A talented footballer whose head was turned. Compare his speed at Falkirk with his lack of pace now, then tell me that lifestyle doesn't matter; kinda wants to make a point but not bothered enough to really go for it
Nish: honest endeavour but not sharp enough or consistent enough to make a difference in an average team
Riordan: Gifted, not helped by Celtic experience but doesn't have the nouse to realise how you have to commit to sport to maximise your talent
Zemamma and Benji: talented but have never really adapted to Scottish football, at least to a big enough extent to offer Hibs something special on a regular basis
This is why we don't get there - the older players have blown their chances, the younger ones haven't the skill to make a difference.
