all Celtic have done is bought second place in the league. They were ****ing themselves that Hibs would pip them for it so they panic bought nearly a full team. Heres hoping it goes tits up for them

3rd Aberdeen 39pts
Pts Diff 10
31 Jan 2009
2nd Rangers 53pts
3rd Dundee Utd 38pts
Pts Diff 15
This Season
2nd Celtic 44
3rd Hibs 42
Pts Diff 2
So, interesting facts to note:
1 - This is the closest to 2nd that the 3rd place team has been at this time of the year in the last 9 seasons (almost certainly more - I don't have the stats for previous years)
2 - Celtic this year have the lowest points haul YTD for the 2nd place team
If Celtic want to ignore us snapping at their heels then let them, it's that arrogance and complacency I'm hoping works in our favour.
In summary, I'm not saying we'll finish 2nd - just Celtic would be foolish to write us off completely.

Out of interest I was listening to David Pleat on Fivelive tonight, saying that Celtic's Desmond and Joe Lewis, who owns Spurs, are very close friends. He was suggesting that the deal was cooked up by two billionnaire pals to suit each other, and had nothing to do with normal football finance...Last edited by hibsbollah; 02-02-2010 at 06:54 PM.

Welcome to the world of Robbie keane ?
Thank god you have taken this clown off our hands
He'll score at home to utter dross, you'll put in insipid display away from home and forget about beating anyone decent.
The ******* gets the ball and either plays it back .. or if he'sin an adventurous mood he'll play it sideways
Then he'll fall over, arm flap like a ******* and the linesman, team mate, mother in law (any one but himself) and sweat on scoring 95th minute goals when the side is 4 up vs cowdenbeath or whatever clowns you have there in Scotland
Please send this clown back to us with 2 broken legs so we can claim on insurance
P.S. he is an alco pisshead

I am in no way defending RK or Gow but in my experience of pro football which goes back more than 60+ years EVERY player maps out his career as best as possible to "suit his own ends "
They have, hopefully, ten years at the top with a few years in their late 30's to make sure they have provided for the future.
In your working life , which can span 45/50 years, have you never made a decision to go for the "main chance" to better your lifestyle/salary ?
If you haven't you must be rather naive !!

Apparently Robbie is away back to Spurs this morning as he was to stay at Celtic until the end of their season.
