Just bought over West Ham, am just watching there press conference on SSN, they are the type of guys you want running your club. Typical cockney business men who are great at whealing and dealing, who made most of their money in the porn industry.
They also said that they would be surprised if a Premier League club did not go into administration this season, the un-named have debts that are higher than the clubs values.
Any guesses?

Definitely better than who was in charge before but I just dont trust them. They never fulfilled the promises they made while in charge at Birmingham and left them yo-yo-ing between the leagues. Karen Brady has also been (and possibly still is being) investigated for a few controversial dealings while at Birmingham and expectations of playing in the champions league sound far too similar to the crazy expectations of the previous owners. Not to mention that they are already talking of selling Upton Park in favour of moving to the Olympic Stadium after 2012.
On the other hand, they clearly love the club and as I said before they are an improvement on what they replaced. Only time will tell

Without a word of a lie I am far happier that we just have accountant types in charge!
There is no other model that works or will work long term than simply paying out only what you get in.
Yes, get the marketing guys and the business inded guys to think of ways of increasing the income on a sustained basis but get the basic numbers working!

Definitely the Glazers are helping themselves to huge profits, but - for the time being at least - the club is pretty secure.
Liverpool are in more trouble, as they may drop out of the CL and Anfield just isn't bringing them enough to compete with the big boys. But this is probably a case of slow decline, rather than sudden shock.
Lots of other clubs are losing money though, without a billionaire to bail them out.

If the fans can't run the club then boring businessmen as Andy 74 says are about as good as it gets.
BTW the Beeb is reporting that Portsmouth's attempt to overturn their winding up petition from the taxman has been dismissed.

I haven’t seen the interview.
How can you effectively own a football club you don’t have feelings for? How can they be West Ham owners if they are not in some way fans? If they're fans why did they buy Birmingham previously?
Perhaps being too close to your own club is a bit perilous, lots of examples of that, but owning someone else’s club just isn’t right, lots of examples of that too.
Its what wrong with football these days.
Yours sincerely

S&G are the best that was on offer...
Birmingham were steadied and have a solid foundation because of them, however I would be very disappointed if Brady is installed, she is not a very good director and puts too much out into the public domain (as several people I know connected with football have said)
With the move to the Olympic stadium... well there must be a reason. UP probably wont bring in much and its not like the irons need to open up more seats... If the deal was similar to Man citys with the council and paying little in rent and renovation then it might be a good deal... I wouldnt want the Irons moving in my honest opinion as a supporter
