Mendes out
Rangers midfielder Pedro Mendes has been ruled out for at least two months with a knee injury. The Portuguese damaged his medial ligament in Wednesday's Champions League defeat by Unirea Urziceni.
Mendes, 29, will have the injury re-assessed when the swelling subsides. He has established himself as a first-team regular in Walter Smith's side.
The midfielder signed from English Premier League outfit Portsmouth for £3m in August 2008.
Mendes, whose shot deflected off Marius Bilasco to give Rangers an early lead against the Romanians at Ibrox, was replaced at half-time by Kyle Lafferty.

Mendes has been poor this season.
Hopefully Bougherra is still out or will he return like Kris "out for six weeks" Boyd did on Saturday at St Johnstone for the huns.

totally off topic but looking at some of the pics from last night, is it just me or is Thomshun developing a belly? Must be Rangers' punishing training regime...

What is the issue with bougerra is he injured or is he still being punished for getting back late from international duty?

Would gladly have them all fit and playing. On our day we are perfectly capable of beating their best eleven.

It's actually on the official Huns website...
Both are definetly out of this weekends game, and probably a lot longer too! Both influential players for the huns, good to see them out!

That will leave us to face arguably the worst Rangers side in history
:
* Not long term , just a niggle , enough to miss Saturday

McGregor Whittaker Papac Weir Naismith McCulloch Rothen Thomson Davis Miller Lafferty (or something)
I'd say Hibs have a slightly better eleven on form at the moment. We have the better forwards and midfielders (Davis aside), and they have slightly better players at the back but are weak in the centre and lack pace.

Problem is; we'll probably have a few out injured after Saturday. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

My only worry for Saturday now is that the SFA will already have issued instructions to the referee .......when to award the penalty(s) to ensure they get back to level pegging and then how much additiional time should be added on to make sure they get a last gasp winner..........
The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits
The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game

Mark my words, the referee in charge will be hell bent on giving the Huns every major decision.
We will be here on saturday night talking about how the clear offside goal stood for them, why did certain player not see red..why did we not get that penalty and why they did?.
Ill say that right now to prove it..we just cant have any other outcome than a huns win on saturday.
So if your reading this sportscene updates at 4.30 on saturday..have the baws to say it on your show on saturday.
Hibs will be undone with a total freak refereeing outcome.

TBF Mendes has really been poor this season, he was good last season but many Huns i talk to say he's just not that good.
