Just been on uefa's website and read this, now i had no idea this was the case, i remember thinking it was a lot of dough but this below is mental ....
Each of the 32 teams in the group stage of European club football's leading competition this season will receive a participation bonus of €3.8m plus a match bonus of €550,000 per group game played. The clubs can also expect to receive performance bonuses, with €800,000 being paid out for every win and €400,000 for every draw in the group stage.
Guaranteed 3.8m + 3.3m (6 group games) = 7.1m Euros for losing every game
Draw every game add 2.4m and win every game 4.8m.
Apologies if everyone was aware of this but i wasn't, 7.1m just for reachin it is unbelievable dough.

It is indeed and there are some pretty unfashionable clubs picking up a wedge this time round. Hungary's champions are in it this year for instance.
Mind you, Rod can pull in that sort of cash by selling 2 players
