    Clare Balding 'foot in mouth disease'

    In the interview, Balding said to Treadwell: "Give us a big grin to the camera." When he smiled, keeping his lips closed, she added: "No, no, let's see your teeth. He hasn't got the best teeth in the world, but you can afford to go and get them done now if you like."

    She is no oil painting herself.

    Yeah I saw that and thought it was well out of order.

    likely to be the biggest moment of the young guys life and that snooty bint ruined it for him by her disrespectful comment.

    Would she have made such a comment to someone like McCoy? not a hope in hell.

    Liam Treadwell should have replied "The horse jumped like a stag but I doubt I'd make it over the first fence on your back you stuck-up eliteist tart'.

    She was insensitive in the extreme on Saturday, but just seemed to be following the standard BBC line of verbal diorrhea, see also the tw*t with the mic who virtually caught Treadwell for an 'interview' as Mon Mome was slowing after the finish line!
