    Shaun Pollock

SSN are reporting Shaun Pollock's retirement from Test cricket.

Outstanding bowler IMO, and a better batsman than he was given credit for. Would have been a shoo-in for a World XI for a large part of his career.

He and Allan Donald were some combination
There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars

Agree, sad to see him leave the test arena He destroyed the Windies yesterday as well, shows he still has something left in the tank.

Won't forget the Scotland fans chanting at him "Ritchie from Happy Days, Ritchie from Happy Days..."

Very good when he was younger. Straight and quick he formed a formidable partnership with Alan Donald. Donald was very scary. Pollock more steady, attritional.

I have to say I think he hung about a bit longer than he should have.

He's got a bit more bowling to do over the next few days -- the Windies need only bat for three days to get a draw!
