Took a week to come up with that?

To be fair the club seems to produce a constant stream of information these days.
You know things are looking up when even the moaners are struggling to come up with something decent to slate the club on.
I still dont think the Club know what they want to do in this area. The idea seems to change almost weekly. So probably best they keep schtum until that actually have an agreed way forward.
Iv never seen a fuss over nothing on the scale that hibs. Net achieves :not worth
I don't think that's particularly fair. Surely a business has to exercise caution and will only announce news when it's official? You obviously had inside info, so were ahead of the game, so to speak but I honestly don't see how Hibs can be accused of doing something wrong here.....IMHO of course
Official notice from the club is good enough for me, anything else is hearsay, it doesn't have to be instantaneous just to satisfy the rumour mill.
I was hoping we would have heard from Hibs last week when it became a news story. It has been official for some time now. Last weeks story was full of quotes from Spartans, it would have been good if Hibs had been able to release a statement at the same time.

And apologies for caring how the club looks to the outside world.

We all knew about this last week from the Evening News - don't really care that Hibs have waited until now to comment. They'll have had their reasons.
More kudos to both Hibs and Spartans on agreeing the split rather than continuing to waste time and money on something that wasn't working for either party.
They'll both move on fine, i'm sure.
You'll probably find that most fans don't give two hoots about communication on stuff like this. I don't want the club releasing statements every time something changes in its operations.
Edit: That'll teach me to read the entire thread. A fair number of folk beat me to the same point.
TBH there are very few fans that give a hoot about football at this age group. Personally i dont think the Spartans guy came out well by having a dig at Hibs. A bit petty for something so small.
That's just not true, I praise the club when I think it's merited.
I think it just seems to you that I'm criticising the club a lot because it has been so poorly run that we are now spending a 2nd season in the Championship. Believe me, when that is fixed I will be as positive as anyone on here.
Edit:- maybe not as positive as Baldy Foghorn. [emoji3]

I think if you look at that statement we don't really need to know anything else, the club are trying to build a positive image so if there is a negative to come out of this break up with Spartans then they are hardly going to highlight it. In fact I read it almost as Hibs defending their approach to developing youth players in the last paragraph without saying too much to be critical of Spartans as the Spartans article did have a negative twist to it.
I'm delighted with the communication from the club if you look at the news the day before you have hibs training camps for youngsters and the hibs kids takeover so our focus on youth and engaging with the community is still there.
It really is not something to criticise the club over.
