I know it's a challenge, but what's your one favourite Bowie song?
I'm listening to Aladdin Sane right now and it's brilliant, but one song is the task.

I grew up with bigger sisters who were all into Bowie so I was bombarded from an early age.
Sound and vision is the track for me. Clean, crisp and way ahead of its time.
Ashes to ashes for me.
I would put little wonder in second. The prodidy-esq beat is fantastic
I've never really listened to much of his music other than his well known tracks that have always got a lot of exposure on tv and radio etc.
At the time of his death I heard some of his less well known tracks for the first time and one that stood out was Everyone Says Hi from the Heathen album. Lovely song with a nice sentiment that sounded particularly poignant at the time of his passing.
Played so many of them to death that I don't really want to hear them any more which is always a shame.
I'll go for 5 Years.
Tough one! I have listened to Lazarus a lot since his death but my daughter 2yo loves life on mars because of his make up. I think hunky dory has my favourite songs on it if pushed.
Ziggy Stardust / Rock N Roll Suicide. 1st equal. Both on rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust LP. Not a huge Bowie fan but one I often go back to listen to.

So hard to pick one track but if i had to, The Jean Genie, closely followed by Ziggy Stardust. That's round about the time i started to listen to music seriously.
A hero of mine and had the pleasure of seeing him 3 times. Mrs OS's claim to fame was she was at the same party as him when he lived in Stockbridge for a while.
Changes or Life on Mars.
Life on Mars, everytime I hear it, sounds like the 1st time
There's a lot of competition, but I love this one off Station to Station. Gets me everytime.

1.Rebel Rebel
2.Changes
3.Life on Mars
I love Bowie's stuff. Biggest regret music wise is not seeing him live.

I was quite late getting into David Bowie - I didn't get him for a very long time.
I think it was because I didn't particularly like the stuff he did when I was growing up in the 80s. Then I discovered his earlier music, grew to love him then also grew to appreciate the 80s stuff that I didn't like before.
Life on Mars for me - a masterpiece.
I also love The Man Who Sold the World, although it took Nirvana to introduce me to that.
... Heroes ...
I've been to a few stadium gigs at Murrayfield, and I think it is a crap venue for that sort of thing.
I've never been anything other than disappointed there.
By the way, my choice of track is The Bewley Brothers.
Heroes or Golden Years.
Suffragette City, reminds me of Saturday nights back in the day at the Citrus Club, Red Stripe in hand.
So many top class songs to choose from, but,
Pretty Things, or Changes bring back lots of great memories
GGTTH
Grew up with him and loved everything he did. If I had to pick one song it would probably be sound and vision - just grabs me every time and as someone else mentioned - way ahead of its time.
I don’t listen to him much now but as an occasional treat when walking the dog, I listen to hunky dory, ziggy stardust or Aladdin sane.
Three of the best albums ever, IMHO of course!

It’s life on mars for me as well. It’s not a very original choice, but having listened to a lot of his music it’s still the best song for me. He was such a genius, he was always experimenting with different musical genres. A sad loss.
I’m weird this way. Not his best track as I’d say it’s Heroes. But my favourite track, one I always going back to is Young Americans.
Sorry
If it was just one track then it would have to be Rebel Rebel, the intro is genius.
