So sad :( RIP
Truly, what a year for the passing of so many greats!
True legend rip
Rip, it was indeed his very own 'Last Christmas'
Sad news last night, 2016 can really bugger off, far too many celebrities taken too young.
Seen the who at playhouse 1979 , queen in Marbella middle 80s , thought I'd seen it all then went too see George at Hampden and WOW greatest concert I'd ever been to hel be sadly missed in this household.
I saw him a earls court mid/late 80s, he was very good live. my seat was right next to Boris Becker and his girlfriend at the time, tall black women with a real nice backside that she wiggled all night in front of me dancing to every song. :greengrin
Whenever i have seen him on tv recently, i always thought he looked ill, sadly it seems i was right.
Yes he started off in a boy band, but he wrote some great tunes and sung some very good songs with other artists.
He will be missed.
2016 claims another celebrity.
RIP George
53 is no age at all but he did look more and more frail each time he was in the public view since he had major health issues in 2013.RIP.
It's very sad, I can't say I was a big fan, but he wrote some truly brilliant songs, particularly Jesus To A Child and most of all Father Figure, a song that has a personal significance to me and i'm sure a lot of others. RIP George.
I must have missed this, but when did he play for us??
Off the main forum please.
[QUOTE=gorgiegreens;4888512]Another celebrity who has abused their body with drugs & or alcohol.
That to me is called a junkie.
Folk would nae feel sorry if that was to happen to some random who was begging in Princes Street.[/QUOT
Sometimes its better to say nothing.
Clearly wasn't without his problems but his quiet generosity over the years seems to have been quite something.
