Aye it was a bit better than the 14-0 last season!!! We hit the bar twice but it was always going to be tough against them eh. 3-1 after losing 3 crap goals is a massive improvement although getting beat isn't something we can be happy about.
It was Ryan who didn't want to come on, Gus is releasing him!!!
It was unlucky lads. 3rd goal was as we were going for the equaliser.Had more than enough chances. Beattie made some cracking saves.
If we show as much fight and play the football we have in games we will have a good season.
MON THE BEERS
Ryan will be released, playing for 20 years and i have never come across a sub not wanting to come on....not what we need. Got a really good bunch of guys and that will not be ruined by any little p***k
How are they in comparison to last season? Got them on Thursday. Heard they've signed a couple of oxgangs players after they folded? Ronny said it was 3-1 going on 30-1 but he would be biased eh....
Ronnie said something like that to me after the game mate. They are still the team to beat and rapid upfront but we limited them to long range shots but when we let them in twice they scored their one on ones and a header from a free kick!!!
They've signed a couple from oxgangs but most of their team were the same as last season plus nicky burns who started on the bench for them.
Shoogsy from I gangs plays for them now.
Beattie made 4 good saves, their keeper made 3 + we hit the bar twice, so it actually should of finished 7-6. Same team, they won alot in midfield and our defence were not on their toes. Get into them mate, they got rattled when we took the lead.
As Fraser said, they are still the team to beat
Cheers lads. Just wondered cos they aren't steamrollering teams like they did last year from their results that I've seen. We're having a bit of an injury crisis right now n our top goal scorer from last season is on holiday too. Gonna be a tough one to come away with a result like. Still got a strong 11 but almost no one on the bench atm
Going to be a few interesting results this year!
