Imagine living in Madrid.
What team for you?
I think i would go with Real Madrid. No reason other than ive been to their stadium.
Rayo Vallecano.
100% Athletico. Nothing likeable about Real
Rayo Vallecano to be too cool.
Atletico. Went to a game in their recent title winning season at the old stadium, great fun.
Athletico.
100% Real.
Who are this team Athletico?
Anyway I would go for Rayo Vallecano
Well, I lived in Munich for six years, ignored Bayern and still supported Hibs so...
it would still be Hibs.
It would've been fun following Leganes the last couple of seasons, but Rayo or Atleti for me. Never Ever R.Madrid (but I do love their ground)
I went with my brother and dad to Madrid a few years ago. As good as the Bernabeu was- we went to Rayo Vallecano the next night and it was brilliant. Proper football fans and €1 beers so it’d be Rayo Vallecano for me
Atlético.
Went to their new stadium for a match. It was class!
Depends which roundabout you stay near...
Atletico.
Has to be Real Madrid as my wee team - seriously since the 1990s.
Atletico are a bunch of industrial cloggers and have been for decades, their stadium is close to a stinking brewery, their colours are a shade of pink. THUGS! They're just horrible.
OK so Real are somewhat robust at the moment ;-) I'd see that in the same way as Hibs are no longer a boy band team but in among the flair there's an element of steel!
I’m biased because my Dad is a real fan but Atletico are very like the Jambos, scarf twirlers with six fingers etc! Not Real Class!!😏
Like others, I’ve lived in Sydney for nearly 44 years and continued to follow Hibs.
Can’t imagine that changing if I suddenly moved to Madrid, which is much closer to Easter Road than I am now.
St Johnstone
Barcelona and the locals be damned.........:greengrin
If we were brought up in Madrid it would depend on who my Dad supported.
There's also Getafe but I don't know how they're doing these days.
Madrid would put me closer to Scotland, so Hibs, and Real.
I saw Atletico in rural North Wales in 1985, they visited Bangor City in the Cup winners Cup, footage on YouTube should someone by remotely interested, superb memories, the ground is now asda and think about that day every time I go there!
Athletic Bilbao
Only an hours flight to the coast and is spains coolest city 👌🏻
I’d probably just play golf to be honest.
Same as Living in Manchester. Watch whoever is playing but support Hibs. If we're on tv I skip live games etc. When I can get home I come to Easter Road.
It's Hibs first last and always.
The bigger clubs are not better.

Real remind me of rangers in in a loose way - they were Gen. Francos team, the team of the establishment, enough said really.
Hibs 😁
People saying they'd still support hibs are missing the point a wee bit.
I think the OP is asking what Madrid team would you pick to follow if you had to pick one as well as supporting hibs.
This! Went over to the game in January v Las Palmas and can comfortably say that's one of the best stadiums I've ever been to.
Decent atmosphere too for a sleepy Sunday afternoon game. A lot our clubs could learn about the fan experience outside the ground before matches.
If I was living in Madrid and Real were the only team in existence there I think I'd start following Spanish snooker or something instead. My level of loathe for them is pretty intense.
Rayo Vallecano for me. A smaller local team, more in line with my left-wing thinking.

Quite an interesting article on them above. Worth a read if you are bored.
Surprises me how many folk would go for the establishment club, given we like to paint Hearts in the same way.
Leganes?
Always liked real but barcelona are **** hot too
Anyone picking Atletico over Real because of Real's links to Franco clearly knows nowt about the history of Atletico, their Ultras or their political leaning.
Probably Barca....
Real - establishment and financial cheating beyond der Hun.
Athletico: Could never forget their Champions Cup semi versus Celtic who they proceeded to kick off the park. Spanish football at its then most typical.

To all - it's Atletico.
This is getting worse than the Leeanne/Liane/Leigh-anne fiasco.
I think it was Basil Faulty, who once said, talking to Manuel, "don't you have rats in Barcelona? Or did Franco have them all shot"
I'm an Animal lover so it's Atletico for me!
Getafe.
Saw them beat real in the bernabeu when I was in Madrid.
Probably Getafe as their name is similar to my favourite Arab dictator's.
Barca, just to stand out in a crowd and to **** with the establishment.
