Fly eagles fly
Don't mess this up!
This is how it should be, great entertainment in both games
The big winner here is Nick Foles.
Eagles vs Patriots.
It's going to be awesome
Pleased with the win - hopefully Church sees a ban for his helmet hit on Gronk. Looked mightily pleased with himself afterwards too.
No doubt my mate will be back to being an Eagles fan for the Superbowl
My takeaways last night weren't great - our OL allowed them to get to Brady far too often, and Philly have a superb pass rush. Our pass defense was, again, abysmal at times, and Foles likes to throw deep.
I'm surprised to see the Eagles being touted as the underdogs early doors. I reckon they win their first championship this year.
Amazing performance from the Eagles, NFC Champions (that sounds strange...)
I predicted both results correctly but not the way they happened, watched the highlights and Foles was unbelievable in the pocket, such patience, sounds like the fans were supernoisy, that interception return TD was fantastic, and the defensive line looks frightening. I never thought they could pass it against that Vikings D but I was totally wrong. And with Blount and Ajayi making big plays from the backfield they have a balanced attack as well.
Really hoping they actually win it this time, and they have the ability to do it, but the Patriots are still the best in the big games and the smart money has to go on them. I think it'll be another nailbiter, Patriots by 3.
NFC CHAMPS! I did not expect that from Nick Foles, he seems to be coming into form just at the right time!
The two turnovers were crucial, if we can get that sort of pressure on Brady then anything can happen.
I.cannot.wait! Was gutted in 2005, it is time for revenge!
What an amazing season, we've been kicked several times throughout the season, wrote of constantly but here we are in the SB. To be the best you got to beat the best right?
I think the SB will be intriguing, the eagles have the potential to make it a hellish night for brady but him and bill always seem to find a way. I'm nervous already and it's still almost 2 weeks away.
One of our major problems this year has been how much our offensive line lets through to Brady - our pass protection isn't great, and your pass rush is incredibly effective.
I reckon you've more than the capability to make it a torrid night for Brady - to beat us though, I do think Foles and his passing game will need to be on point, because we've dealt with far better running backs this year than Blount (who we know very well) and Ajayi.
Its kind of away from the main event but...do any of the patriots fans know whats up with the surface on gilette field? Whenever theres a collision or a player falls to the turf it seems like a whole load of black pellets fly up in the air. Almost like the cheap black pelleted astroturf they used to have on old 5 a side pitches. Ive never seen this in any other nfl stadium.
It's FieldTurf, which is one of the most advanced all-weather surfaces around as far as I'm aware?
It was installed in the off-season last year (at quite a premium) and has been instrumental in games going ahead (both for the Patriots and Revolution).
I've seen that at other NFL grounds. Its the black pellets they have on the field turf pitches. Most synthetic puithes in the US are field turf and I think there are a few here as well in this country like Cardiff blues rugby and Saracens.
Good knowledge :aok:
The XFL is coming back!
When I was living and working down in Guildford, I used to play weekly on the Surrey Sport Park pitches (where Harlequins train, and where some of the visiting NFL teams train pre-Wembley games) - that's the same surface, and it's a dream to play on. Cost the University of Surrey £18 million to build the full Sport Park though, and they didn't scrimp on the surfaces.

Kaep v Tebow!
Maybe I'm alone, but I dislike a lot of the chat surrounding the new XFL. There's been a lot of defiant "everyone will stand for the anthem" type of chat from the vocal supporters of the league - to me, it sounds like a white, Republican NFL ****fest, rather than something that will elevate or rival the NFL.
Without getting all Holy Ground... This Michigan Spartans thing is going to explode. I bet a ton of colleges all over the country are ****ting it right now as well.
