It tells me the SFA are planning on taking their time and searching the world for the best candidate whilst using the management experience of current staff for a friendly in a month's time. We aint gonna give the u21 manager the reigns for a friendly when they'll have important qualifiers to take care of.
Who should be in charge for this game out of curiosity?
Don't have an issue with it. Good manager and knows the game tremendously well.
Don't condone a racist being our head coach.
What little interest I had in the national team has vanished
We need an interim manager to take charge of a friendly. We've appointed an interim manager who was already on the books, who has experience of being a manager and for playing for the national side.
What's the fuss?
He's going to be a caretaker for one game as far as we know. He's not a character I particularly care for but it's not a huge deal as things stand imo.
Has Mother Teresa thrown her hat in the ring yet?
As long as he really is just a caretaker. I'd be very unhappy if he got the job permanently; they guy is a welt, and, IMHO, just an average manager.
Great well thought reply to the suggestion of Allerdyce but what's so funny?
He is tactically very astute whilst the football style isn't great, has a good record with average sides and knows how to man manage - and he hasn't ruled himself out according to media reports. We could do a lot worse.
